Qatar has been impressive in this tournament and I won't be surprised if they go ahead to lift the trophy, Qatar are also yet to concede a goal in their first 3 matches. I'm leaning towards under 2.5 goals for tbis fixture.
Indeed Qatar won the game by 1-0 vs Iraq. Next match against South Korea will be hard to predict but Qatar seems to have a better chance.

South Korea have an indeed more experienced team than Bahrain and should pick up an easy win against Bahrain. I'm having them on a win at Halftime
It is not that easy but South Korea did it finally  2-1 Smiley

for Qatar vs Iraq I'm still not sure , this game is the toughest IMO in this whole stage
I will update here and share my thoughts after the first match ends , but most likely I won't make a bet

for today I'm taking the favor , South Korea is way too good for Bahrain
yesterday things were different , all the under dogs were playing good football and I guess we saw that while the favors were all overrated and we saw how two games went to extra time where the underdogs had like 50% chance to qualify

but for today Bahrain isn't really impressing and their team isn't good comparing it with yesterday's underdogs
South Korea has perfect team and they are well experienced  so I'm actually going for South Korea -1.5 , I took it yesterday when odds were X2.04
now I see odds went down to X1.84 , but I guess there is still value

a win with less than goal isn't acceptable when a team like South Korea playing against a way weaker team

for Qatar vs Iraq I'm still not sure , this game is the toughest IMO in this whole stage

South Korea have low odds against Bahrain and i have to find another options instead of South Korea ML but i was still confused to decide whether over 2.5 goals or under 2.5 goals for my pick

Yeah, as Sy pointed out yesterday, the underdog odds are actually the best in this competition. I still think RoK will edge it, if not blast Bahrain to bits, so I'm picking them PLUS Qatar, who's still my current fav to win the tourney. Iraq held Iran last time around, but Qatar's got more firepower. Still poor returns, so I did a sucker bet by adding even a third leg to my parlay in a completely diff tourney (EFL). Let's see how it all turns out!

Tempted to back the Uzbeks but odds too low for me haha. Good luck for Aussie game, I think they'll wrap up the game by HT.
Better to not backing them since Australia won by penalty kicks! Japan eliminated Saudis and UAE just scored 2-1 right now vs Kyrgyzstan, they have more possession for the moment.

UAE had to need an extra time to win by 3-2 and will now have to face Australia in the quarter finals, with Australia also need penalties to win against Uzbekistan the match up seem pretty unpredictable.

Ouf, yeah I already lost my parlay, again the favourites won. Saudis totally dominated possession, but their finishing was so, so poor... I counted maybe 10 shots and only 1 forced a save? They were 5.2 to win actually, so yeah, bookies were probably wrong, but Japan proved them right.

yeah mate  we just need to not be results oriented , yeah Japan won but their price for winning and qualifying was really low comparing it to how they played
Saudi was dominating the game but failing to score , I would say both teams played poor football but the price for Japan wasn't good at all IMO

same thing with the other two underdogs , they may lose but their price is really worth taking comparing it with the past performance for the favor teams

for today I really like all the underdogs , the odds for them to qualify is really good
I missed betting on Saudi Arabia to qualify , I see odds was X3.20 but they are losing at the moment
thing is that all teams are kinda equal , personally I give the favors max win of 60% to qualify so odds for underdogs looking good IMO

not sure about Australia match tho , cause it will either be a close match or Australia will dominate it depending on the players since Australia isn't having a steady performance
I will take Australia to score O1.5 goals since when they play good they tend to score 2-3 goals and odds for that is X2.01

I also like Kyrgyzstan to qualify X5.40 in sportsbet
reason for this bet is that I find UAE really overrated since they are the host , but they failed to convince me and I really find them an average team
I also like them +1 at X2.2 , cause even if UAE won I can't see them winning by more than one goal

I think Japan will win here. In the group stage, they were the champion and really played well too. Against Uzbekistan, even after going behind a goal, they came back and won. So, I think Japan will but since Saudi Arab is also a good team, it will not be so easy.

Even though Saudi Arabia aren't a weak team, I'm not expecting them to cause Japan any trouble in today's match and Japan winning every match in the group stages will give them much confidence to go about this match, My prediction would be Japan to win by 2 goals to nil.

I still think Japan will get far, but you know, Saudi aren't a weak team and could physically be a match today, so I'm backing them, and parlaying for what I feel is a sure win for UAE for parlay odds 7.25.

Iran got the 2-goal difference you needed, Sy, so well done. I thought I had my parlay won, but China eventually edged out the Thais. TBased on the first half alone (I couldn't watch 2nd half), the Thais were well worth the surprise, had they won. Less possession, more verve, several shots but their midfield were just too profligate, guess that's the price of youth. Still, they bow out with no shame, having started with that horrific loss.

Jordan eliminated by penalty kicks!
Thailand eliminated against China! 1-2...
Iran and Oman are playing right now (0-0/25').
Bad days for bets, especially if Iran loses!

I truly never expected to see Vietnam eliminating Jordan from the Asian Cup tournament, Jordan is not a weak team in Asia and it was quite a disappointment to see them crash out of this tournament after the penalties shootout against Vietnam, but I do not think Vietnam would be able to win against their next opponent which will be either Japan or Saudi Arabia.

I actually kinda expected that , I knew that odds were really low for Jordan and bookies were overrating them but didn't know what I should bet since I haven't focused on Vietnam matches except their last match

Jordan won against Australia by scoring a corner kick , they had only one real chance beside that corner and Australia was playing really poor
Syria was the worst team in the competition IMO ( even I'm Syrian ) , the Syrian team didn't even match 10% of what people expected

so to be honest Jordan didn't even play good football , even in the matches they won their ball possession didn't even reach 40%

anyways I didn't know what to bet in Thailand vs China so I skipped , I will probably go for Iran -1.5 X2.15 cause it should be an easy win for Iran and they should win by at least 2 goals
Iran is much better and they are well experienced in advance stages , so today shouldn't be hard at all

Today's offering of 3 games are quite, quite good for entertainment value. I think we have to respect Jordan's achievements and go with the bookies for them to beat Vietnam, who aren't a weak team. My upset prediction is Thailand, who face a good but ageing China team. Youth to overcome experience, particularly because the Thais weren't expected to get here after their opening 4-1 loss to India.

Iran should get an easy victory, so I parlayed Iran with Thailand for around 6.87.

Yes it can form a nice team but will it pass to the next round in 2022? We will see.

Jordan - Thailand - Iran next sunday?

It was only a personal feeling last year when I thought the Qatar team could surprise everyone. But now it's coming out who their players are and how good they are - the friendlies were all behind closed doors so only AFC is now showcasing them - people and bookies will slowly come to terms.

Russia's a different story for me - yes, home advantage and extra support, but they were one of the oldest teams in terms of average age, with plenty of years working together in international games. I played football as a below average guy, with average teammates, but there were days we'd beat better teams simply because we played together over 10 years, while newer, younger teams couldn't reach each others' minds yet so easily. Of course, eventually, we always get found out, but we got some joy over the years... same as Russia did until Croatia's quality outshone them.

Host country always have the benefit, I mean they have a chance to play better. If you have see at Russia, they played well more than they should be. Eventually, they were able to make a drawn with Croatia too buy bad luck is they lost in tie-breaker. Qatar will also play better in World Cup 2022. They have changed a lot and hope they will be a better team in world cup.

I never expected Qatar to be able to beat Saudi Arabia by 2 goals in their match yesterday
Indeed, that was a dream few years ago to beat one of the used to be best Asian teams!
I will be looking forward to see Qatar playing in the FIFA World Cup at the year of 2022.
