Forum user Bogart has requested I put notice in this thread that I have transferred 50 of my shares to him in exchange for 18 BTC to be received at the address 1MtpYXDzZa9XdrXf5JVeFrU99zmYqcBJvE (http://blockchain.info/address/1MtpYXDzZa9XdrXf5JVeFrU99zmYqcBJvE)

I am not looking to sell any more of my shares at this time. Thank you

On a more thread-related note, it is exciting to speculate on this mystery miner. We can only hope that it's friedcat! Can't wait for Thursday's news.

Sending the funds now.  Thanks.

Cheers!

Oh I think an addition to the network of that much hashpower is relevant regardless of who the beneficiary is, but eh... have a coke Smiley
Too bad they're throwing it all on a centralized and also 2nd largest pool... kinda defeats the purpose of mining.
And why pick a pool with a whopping 5% fee anyhow?
Yes you must do as Luke-Jr says!

Pool mining is evil ... oh wait he ran a pool ... pool mining protocols are evil ... oh wait the GBT protocol for mining is defined for pool mining ...

But of course the funniest part of all is this outrageous comment
Quote
kinda defeats the purpose of mining

The purpose of mining is to confirm transactions ... meanwhile for 5 months you ran a pool that limited the transactions to only 32 per block ...

Seriously I don't know why anyone would listen to a word you say.
Your a complete hypocrite.

It does look like the type of deployment we should expect from asicminer, although do we really have to wait for the Thursday update for confirmation? Rofl.

If it is ASICminer then They will have 12TH soon and 50 - 60 TH in the near future, so this 800GH is only fir testing

My guess is whoever it is they chose Btcguild because Eleuthria is keen to help them test.... They will spread the love around pretty soon Smiley

Let's not forget our celebrity endorsement, courtesy of Jeff Garzik: [17:57] Eleuthria: ASIC miner is most stable when mining on your stratum ;p

EDIT: The above is in reference to his Avalon unit.

Once upon a time in #btcguild...

Code:
now we have a single user with 800gh? 0_0
Yes.
Welcome to the future.

800gh just hit the network. What more to say?
That there is 3 competitors currently that no one is really sure of anything because of all the lying, speculation, rescheduling and question dodging that has surrounded the events (note that this isn't a hidden message towards asicminer). Those 800ghash has absolutely no relevance until their beneficiary is declared.

There's a miner with 800GH/s on BTCGuild. Has ASICMiner started hashing? Source: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.1522013

Just warning:  User 67117 is NOT 3 TH/s right now.  I'm helping the user with some internal setup and reset their cached speed calculations, which caused a huge spike in hash rate to show up.  Do not panic Smiley.
For a second I thought someone from BFL is mining at your pool.

You're not too far off.

I'll just leave this here.
That doesn't say much....

Plus there is no reason for the crypticness.

I also had hoped at least on of the boxes shown in the pictures last week would have been online by now.... better to get some ofthem hashing then to wait till all of then are ready and bring them all online at the same time....

I gueww with Chinese New Year Friedcat et al are having a break themselves.... makes you wonder how BFL thinks they can assemble all their ASICs in 48hrs.... I do hope we will be online before BFL, would be a shame to let a 5 week chip completion go to waste....

I assumed good news would rain being well into the revised timeline.

And before someone says it, yeah, I'd rather have the 5minutes update than the 5minutes working at this.

And I am an advocate of "who cares, it will come when it will come". But I don't know, at one point kinda wanna know what's up. Being late in the revised timeline.

+1

no urgency? seriously? im sure friedcat and the guys are doing a great job, but at last this is an investment and each day asicminer is not mining is a signigicant loss of dividends - especially now while there is no competition. anyone of thoese "take is easy", "no rush" people here is either not invested, has some other inferior mining business going on or is just plain stupid.
