I'd love to hear about the failure rate, the clock rate and all sorts of stuff. Congrats to all shareholders!

Pre Update

The deploying is in process. We are stress testing on btcguild with a portion of  our devices. The current computation power is close to 2TH/s.

We have been working day and night and still are. The real update will be given in a few hours.
cheers buddy.

If that is Asicminer, it would be interesting to know what the plans are for the money being raised (~$5000/day?). Is there enough in the bank from the IPO to fund the full 50TH/s expansion, or will some of this be withheld in order to get all the wafer starts underway for the big push now that the design has been proven?
lol with that kind of money being printed, I wouldn't worry much about IPO funds ROFL.

Honestly though, with that kind of waved deployment, and constant, I only see 2 options. Avalon defaulted and started mining with the rigs (or decided to mine a couple days to make a couple million before shipping). Or asicminer. But the silence is killing me.

No offense, but while it's definitely a lot of money, it's not like they're absolutely rolling in cash right now. They have about 1/8th of their initial deployment done assuming it is Asicminer, and unless they pick up the pace they could still be adding the initial 12TH/s as BFL devices are coming online in early March. Again, assuming BFL ships reasonably on time.

Longterm planning is key to Asicminer's success, just buying 12TH/s worth of equipment and mining with that will not maximize shareholder value.
You took that way too seriously. I didn't post an analysis.

And yeah, BFL deadlines don't really mean much to me.

In all fairness, with the deployment of a machine that can print money at the rate or 500k a day, my beauty sleep would take a hit.
You're an order of magnitude off. Current generation rate of the whole network is 6*24=144 blocks and 144*25 = 3600 BTC  per day. Multiply that by your favorite exchange rate and you get the maximum output. Short-term target for ASICMINER is 6-12 TH/s which translates into 1/6-1/3 of the whole network, which translates into 600-1200 BTC per day, which translates into 15k-30k USD (1BTC@25USD).
In the spirit that my post was meant, it implied "lose sleep to deploy 12TH" which translates to roughly 500k. My post was obviously not meant as a profits prediction. http://allchains.info/calc.html

ADDENDUM:
As you can see, BTC is still strongly undervalued, given that the whole network can only print 3600*25=90k per day. To match the printing frenzy of the FED, BTC exchange rate would have to increase by a factor of 10000.

The mysterious miner on BTCGuild is expanding again 1.65 TH/s now, so unless Friedcat is working through the night, I would say it is someone else....

No update today....  Undecided

Assuming the BTC guild monster was ASICMINER:
So we're back at 1.5 TH/s after the DDOS... had a decent increase from 1 TH/s last night, but if this is how long it takes to get half a TH/s up, I hope something goes faster soon.

I must be getting old.  The longer I look at those pictures, the more they look like renderings to me.

Anyhow, they do appear to be built for a backplane.  That should be the white connector on the back of each board.  The white things at the top and bottom appear to be just guides.

More interesting, they are built for vertical airflow.  Either they are planning to put a fan module at the top of each stack, or they are built for a datacenter with ducted cabinets.

Looks like 40 or 48 chips per blade, and using the PCB for heat conduction, which fits with the QFN package shown earlier.  Or the ASIC is on the side under the heatsink and we are seeing a rectangular grid of something else.  It is hard to tell from these angles.

If I did not see the cable dangling on the right side I would also think they were renders.  I am really surprised they would have an assembled unit without the backplane but it is possible.  The boards could communicate with as little as a 4 pin cable and the power hookup so they may not use a backplane at all.
