What? Announcement about next announcement? Or Tape-out, or delivery date, or what... ? so another 1month delay from "middle of February" to "middle of March"
No, I believe it is the announcement of the final gen 3 specifications and order details, nothing about a tape out delay. That announcement has been expected to come until end February. So a delay until the second week of march is perfectly acceptable in my books.
If the recent increase in blocks being found is in fact due to gen 3 hardware, I believe the tape out has taken place about 2 weeks ago and they're now tinkering with sample chips. Optimizing during chinese daytime and letting the chips hash away at chinese night. But that's speculation.
