UPDATE: the following info is literally wrote from David.Fan  (Co founder of ASICMINER)

 STATEMENT FROM DAVID.FAN

Dear customers and clients,

The last few weeks have not been easy for the company. Friedcat went missing and this caused an interruption with the business. We are slowly recovering from the loss in company leadership.

First, the company is still operating, albeit at a reduced employee count. The physical location of our new office is currently confidential to guarantee an undisturbed office environment. Our sales contact is still the same. For all other requests please contact us through our general help line (email: [email protected]).

With friedcat missing, the current management of the company is carried out by David Fan temporarily. We will keep you informed of any significant changes, as we are still developing a long term solution to the current situation. We understand that many people are concerned about friedcat and his safety. We ask to not spread any misleading rumors and not pursue speculation.

Due to unforeseen events , the computational that power AMHash managed by RockMiner has become unavailable. We are sorry for the resulting damage experienced by any third parties. We are doing everything in our power to mitigate the damage.

Yours truly,
ASICMINER Management

Not only is not found, but also more and more doubts!

Yeah, that's what I got, I was just about to get my hopes up here... It really is a mess. But on the other hand... who are these people? Are they involved with FC in some way? Are they friends, colleagues, whatever?

Creditors?

I will have to say that I am slightly sore that I didn't sell out when divs stopped, that is a big tell.  Not necessarily scam but business management needed help.  Oh well.

There is an on-going thread with an active discussion on one of the chinese social networking sites. I cannot translate well so the bits and pieces I can parse through insinuates they are trying to and may have found Fried Cat:

Well this board statement should be interesting, but I doubt they have any real info. I guess we will find out soon enough though.

What is the share price going to do? Drop any further? Well, I guess at this point it's just as good as going down with the ship. It only makes sense to liquidate still if you are all in AM and have like 1000 shares or something.

Yeah, as of now I don't see any reason to sell down any further. Yesterday I thought it could go down a bit, but after reconsidering, it could be a mistake to short AM right now. Don't know... Wait and see... At least enjoy the plot, if everything else already went wrong.

if anyone has 500+ shares to get rid off, now would be the time considering Havelock's building up order book.

Yeah... Definitely interesting to see the people speculating on other peoples' panic. But that's how markets work. It'd be interesting to see some really big dumps, like multiple thousand. Unfortunately no one can transfer their direct shares into Havelock at the moment Tongue

1000 shares is *still* about 13BTC Grin

Well with CITM throwing in the towel it seems this is most likely dead. It is a shame they could not have just shutdown in a more graceful manner. Goodnight, sweet price

yeah, I'm kind of sad as well. And I'm speaking from a point of view of an investor who bought at IPO and made nice money with AM. I sold all of them a while back and I can see that it was a good decision. Even when I still kinda hoped that friedcat will once again create a great product...

I have been pretty negative towards AM for the last year or so, but I think they did try at least. The killer for AM was relying too much on FC for every single thing. No company can perform well that way...that is the reason you surround yourself with good people. The writing has been on the wall for a very long time, but many just refused to read it.

I also believe that it was more incompetence or also bad luck (esp. with BE200) than a downright scam or fraud. Yet, I still like solid proof that this currently really isn't some exit strategy.

So any ideas why the funds transferred to one of the associated addresses was split up to different addresses in odd ways...

https://blockchain.info/address/1L2vKPzvi9L4QmkbL6GqBS2VCA8UY7xoB

For instance, 25,000 bitcoins were sent to two different addresses, 23,999 sent to one address, 1000 to another.. Then the next address with the 23,999, 1000 sent to one address, 22,999 sent to another. This pattern continues down the line until all have been split up. This happens again two other times..

Theories?

^How's that Basic mining investment of yours paying off, on target?  All good?

Really surprised at all this anger that's been misdirected my way lately.
I didn't run with your coin--merely pointed out that cluelessness, unchecked greed & stupidity are no longer enough to make you rich.  And that surprise buttsecs is a much more likely outcome.
Not my fault I was yet again proven right, and you... well, you know...

OMG I think I tinkled.. WOW this is f'd in the A. WOW and I thought the minor fires his POS chips started was bad..

Ask yourself if someone with close ties to the company would open themselves up for defamation if their statement was false...

Then ask yourself who has more to gain by lying, the company stating it is going ahead as planned with production (without any hard evidence thus far), or the other party...

And then make your mind up for yourself.
