"to be or not to be, that is the bitcoin"
I love AM but be careful guys. UNTIL the status quo officially changes the stock is going to be bearish.

What do you mean by status quo?

market sentiment I believe

Take a long view people. Friedcat pretty much won the 1st Gen ASIC mining race and everybody who invested with him has already reaped the benefits of that fact.

You can bet your bottom dollar (or bitcoin) that he has a solid plan for 2nd gen hardware in the pipeline. The second gen ASIC wars will likely start in earnest during October/November and I'm confident Bitfountain will raise the stakes yet again by being the first to deploy 2nd gen hardware in bulk.

I'm excited about the future of ASICMINER. A week of lower dividends is a god given for those who would like to buy shares at a lower price.

I think this is a great way to put it. FC and AM didn't get to where they were today by luck-

Luck might have something to do with it, but it's certainly not only by luck at least. Agreed - if they were farsighted enough to see that it would be possible to capture 20% of the market by their initial round of investment in ASIC hardware, I'm certain that it wasn't long after launch that they started work on the next generation of hardware design. I too am in for the long haul, however, I welcome those that want to panic sell - there will be a market for those speculators as well.

I tried myself to create a list with AM shareholders based on yesterday's dividends:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtqphFCP56ordGVCakJxSU90MlB4MlBkZENya25pS2c

I got > 398k of the 400k shares. If you find any errors please let me know!

Dang, first week in a while less than 1% weekly dividend...

Excited to see what Friedcat has up his sleeves (under his paws?) and his plan for the next 6 months - 2nd gen blades/usbs, reduced pricing, etc etc.

Stop with the FUD. If you didn't know that dividends would drop without blades to sell, you haven't really been paying attention.
Exactly. This sell-off is stupid, too bad I thought the investors were mostly intelligent; I would have sold all then bought again at a lower price.
that's easy to say after the fact.  Share prices hit 3 btc a few days ago.  People were selling for 2.56 today.

First like last week. I feel superior, This indeed makes up for alot of ways that I think myself as petite. To fill the hole inside my heart.

oops shared much?

LOL, I know the structure isn't right, but I'm sure there's a haiku in there somewhere.

it might not be such a bad thing that btctc is not fully responsive. It might limit "panic selling" and thus (imho) a big mistake of the young and naive.

I know some of you are just waiting at the bottom (wherever that might be) to happily pick up the shares being sold right now and I would do the same if my btc were not all tied up right now  Undecided
What a thoughtful btct.co ,  Wink anyway , I bought most at 2.72 and some at 2.63 , this good..since price already goes up..I wait for next same happen again,  Smiley

Wonder why this week's dividends are a half of last week's?

site works when you're not logged in Smiley

I'm logged in and it's responding fine -- no issues whatsoever.

Edit - nevermind. Wallet link doesn't work.

BTCO.co is offline :/

Hard to believe it's a coincidence - load issues?
It was lagging a lot, but seems to be back already.

The site is occasionally responding, but orders are having problems and certain aspects of the site aren't available. For example, I can't get to the wallet portion of the site.
Get away from BTCT for ages , but the site still responding for me..

1290 BTC in hardware sales is equivalent to around 650 USB sticks. Seems like sales are still pretty strong.

Hope friedcat will give us an update this week, and that he comments on (1) cause for this weeks drop in hash rate, (2) ETA on both parts of the 200TH order, (3) further orders planned of current-gen chips, and (4) the news about the distributor in China.

Just curious...

yep, we should definitely be informed about these things

anyway it seems to me that some of the "investors" here are like kids and they start panicking at a slightly lower dividend. I mean everybody knew that the dividends are going to be lower this week. Alright, the speculator weak hands will shake and we can get cheaper shares...
