I got my 7, took me a bit to figure out how to get them working, but I got them working.  Getting about 333mh/s a piece.

Since I couldn't find a "how to" do this for Windows, I posted this:

I figured I would use Deepbit because... well... I used them 2 years ago when I used to mine so why not?  Actually... what happened to deepbit?  They were the biggest of the big!  What made them fall... should I consider a different pool for my beautiful new babies?  Also is anyone considering solomining?  Sure I may never get a coin... but I may also get 25 coins! Tongue

The main thing that happened to Deepbit, as far as I can tell, is that they didn't change and got left behind.  Other pools continued to advance and add new features and capabilities, and deepbit didn't.  For example, it's still a prop pool even though pretty much everyone agrees that prop pools are a bad idea.  And it doesn't support stratum or variable difficulty mining (which matters for higher hashrate ASICs, but not really for the AMU) and so most of the recent ASIC miners that were responsible for the dramatic increase in network hashrate are hashing elsewhere.

Just curious - do you have a fan pointed at these?

Fans pointing at them, yes. Additionally, room ambient is 75F.

Ditto; mine is barely warm to the touch.

No package received, and no nondelivery notice.  Tracking still shows "Expected delivery May 28th".

USPS hates me.  Sad

If they don't show up today I'll stop in at the post office tomorrow morning and hassle them.  This happened before recently with a power supply I ordered.  It finally showed up like 3 days late.

Yay, the wife tells me mine arrived at the house now today.

Better late than never.

Bogart was suddenly taken ill, and had to go home from work early...

"Honey, can you do me a favor?  Remember those USB hubs I showed you..."

Good night, miners

I wish I could record the beautiful light show that these put on at night, but I don't have a video camera capable of recording those light levels.

Are these strippers? dancing?  I have to put my glasses on...

I've not received a shipping number and have checked my spam mailboxes.

My data on the spreadsheet says shipped, and that's good enough for me (assuming my device arrives in a few days), but I wanted to give a heads-up in case my experience is unexpected.

FYI, my USPS tracking number just went live.  For those of you wondering, it went out First Class USPS Tracking / Delivery Confirmation.

BTCGuild is run by a really nice guy and the pool is great, BUT, 7.5 % fee?  I use a zero fee pool.

BTCGuild's fee is 3%, not 7.5%.  And they pay for orphans (which is worth 1% on average), and because they are large, their variance is lower.  Zero fee pools are nice, but you do get what you pay for, most of the time.

I'd probably order and try a BeagleBone Black instead, but I hear it's still unstable.
I'm planning to use a Beaglebone Black. Where did you hear it is unstable? Cgminer compiles on the standard Angstrom linux but it'll be awhile before my single asicminer arrives. My Beaglebone has its own power supply and the hub I currently have for it is 7 ports/2Amps.

A screenshot I posted to the CGMiner thread, of a bunch of these baby's running in one of my systems.

Curious about the amount of HW errors, but if that's "normal"... then ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I get about 2.5 HW errors an hour on average.  Can we confirm this is acceptable?

suggestions for mining pools?

I've had good luck with BTC Guild.  They have their fair share of criticisms here, but YMMV.  I also hear Slush's pool is a good one as well.

4 hours later,  all domestics  are shipped. I actually watched the postal guy pick them up.

I got my tracking number, but since the USPS web site is not showing any information, can you share what shipping method these went out as (Priority Mail vs standard "First Class" mail, etc).  And did you ship them with a required signature, etc?  Just trying to guesstimate which day they might arrive and if I need to have someone stay home that day...

Mine is now tracking - my package went out USPS First Class Package.  Was hoping they would go Priority, but it will get here when it gets here.  I'd guess Monday or Tuesday.
