5?  then why are you mining with 8?

cause the total order, including my five, was for 511. and they mailed 530. the extra 19 are intended for warranty replacement if any of you guys get deffective ones. logically, i want to make sure the 19 i keep work, eh?

i can happily package the extra three and mail them out. they'd go to hephaist0s. in fact, you make a valid point. the 19 should come from the last batch, after all others are mailed. so, pack them i shall.

you should have disclosed how many you bought, and labels and shit should have been done...too busy getting yours to mine?

uh, i DID disclose how many i bought. zero. originally i was going to get one, but then the fee was suggested. the 5 i have were my fee, as agreed upon in this very thread long ago.

and no - i was asleep from pain meds, frankly.

are you not going to answer me?

i'm not on the spreadsheet cause i don't need to ship anything to myself.

Comparing his pic and the pic from the BlockEruptor announcement... I'd say that's the bottom side, the side opposite the heatsink. As to if they have actual casings to protect the PCB, don't know.

yea, opposite the heatsink. see my previous pictures. the heatsink is a slab of aluminium only on one side.

Is it stable without the fan pointing at it? Whats your ambient temperature?

it was stable, yea. but damn hot. ambient is 60 to 80, give or take. degrees f, of course.

oh, and here's a shot of the boys working away. the LED blinking on a share found (green, btw) is surprisingly unintrusive.

Are those out of the heatsink/case, or just the undersides?

Lotta Hardware errors...maybe they are too hot?
Looks normal to me.  Almost all FPGA/ASIC designs have corner cases where they'll produce incorrect results; it doesn't affect actual hashing speed.

fristly: the second package did NOT arrive today. major sadface, since i don't think they'll try on saturday. please correct me if i'm wrong.

secondly: due to car problems (like not owning one and my brother unexpectedly needing his, which i normally use...) i haven't gotten to the post office yet.

thirdly: the first 200 are ready to mail (though i still need ot print some labels - ran out of ink AND paper.) and i'll have them to the post office first thing tomorrow morning.

dreadfully sorry for delays, guys.

also, my foot's doing much better. Cheesy

Just received my shipping notice that the miners were shipped to me.

Thanks ARKLAN!!!!!!!

You rock!!!!!

Hope you get to feeling better.

*looks at box next to him* uh... you received notice i printed a shipping label. ...heheh.

Arklan, hope the ankle heals.Maybe start another group buy after this one?

i'm considering it.

I will say that keeping details of progress open by use of the shared spreadsheet is a huge pressure relief valve for those who might have questions about how things are progressing.

One of your biggest successes here, IMHO, has been in keeping this thing up-to-date.  If it has also helped you stay organized and accurate it's a double win.

and it has!

do "shipping notices" mean emailed tracking numbers?
I can see that a bunch of orders are marked as "packed" in the spreadsheet, but none are marked as mailed yet.

this is precisely correct. though i'm actually a little behind on the labels... they'll be done before i can take it to the post office in the morning though.

let me express my deepest apologies at how long this is taking. especially with the holiday weekend.

Sat might be a busy day at the post office in his town!

If there is a fast turnaround I bet his tip jar swells

Modular Python Bitcoin Miner has an icarus worker and a browser based front-end. This is what I plan to use.
