This not first time DeFi is been hyped as its booming in the market right now. Remember mining coins did the same thing but gradually fades away, now dumped in exchange without any good backup. So when investing in DeFi projects, not all would be good, some already dumped in market. So be careful with the one you choose to invest in and do a proper research before investing into it.

Basically these hypes will be here only for short term so it is your own choice to invest on decentralized Finance aka DeFi projects.Maybe this has got some potential but if we are already reached the hype so any time this will get hard hit.

First of all we need to have decentralized payment system which itself is in the infant stage of adoption.

Yes, now scammers are very good at polishing a project to be used as new bait to everyone, especially investors who often invest in crypto, if they are not careful and always in a hurry in making decisions, then they will always be victim of a scammer.

Not all are real defi projects some are just using the idea to get investors. Technically defi is broad and once you read a platform saying they are decentralized finance but totally indicated only it as description then maybe you are not investing on the right project.

Overall contributions of defi rapidly increased not just by development but also in terms of financial contribution. ICOs seems to be returning in the form defi, and many of those dead projects before are trying to tie it up with defi just to get a chance for the hype it brings.

It is true that on twitter there are many scams, but you can easily identify it. Just don't be greedy and don't trust others. I always use twitter to update the latest news related to this market, it is very effective

OP is talking about one particular project which may come under the defi category but I am not ready to analyze them just because it is dealing with finance sector. Already most altcoins/tokens are gaining their value only only due to speculative reasons and adding to that another layer of cosmetic thing in the name of finance, is not at all going to work even in short run.

I just want to know what these new defi category is going to bring for us. I mean already we are having projects to address all possible real world problems and among them what is missing and how these defi things are going to address them. In my eyes these are just another fancy things to lure investors.

If these defi things get power to survive for another 1 or two years by really having reasons to exist with us, I guess I may start showing interest to them. Till then I may remaining busy with my usual category of coins and tokens against stablecoins.

could you provide more details regarding meter, i would not call gate.io as leading exchange, but they could provide a good project, so maybe will take part if you provide more details and basic investment analysis for meter, never heard of the project

I agree they are good projects, but the price is too high for IEO so it's not too good for us to invest in them. Perhaps we research and investment in projects Defi is preparing IEO in the major exchanges in this market

I have just tried it out at Coinmarketcap, and this is great because you can check out which Defi project is the best in this market. Currently, in the list provided by CMC, there are only 40 projects, and this number will surely increase in the near future. However, before investing in Defi projects you need to think carefully and find out clearly because there are always risks when choosing to invest.
