Many scammers are hiding under the DEFI umbrella to launch scam tokens without any hope to develop the project. They just create token and website, list on uniswap, then start hyping the project and list on MXC, BIKI, that's the new trend. Do proper research if you must follow the DEFI hype. I made good profit from DMG and COMP, and looking up to BZRX if it's worth investing anyway.

It's funny how many crypto enthusiasts just FOMO when they hear a new DEFI project just launched and listed on uniswap, without reviewing the project if its worth it. In as much as I agree with OP that DEFI projects are booming now, and cool for better returns, but scammers are taking advantage seriously. There are some DEFI hype groups on telegram launching tokens on weekly basis, and then forget about the project after cashing out. This is a call to all crypto enthusiasts, be extremely careful with new DEFI tokens.

This year is DeFi season, because almost new tokens/coins appear they have good and interesting Dapps in the DeFi project.
I think it's time to take a big risk in order to achieve double profits for this year on the DeFI project. hopefully promising for this year and future.

It looks like the defi season will be last for the next years.
The risk can't be avoided and if he was choosing the right one and he can decrease his risk to get the scam defi. So many new defi has very strong vision dude.

It's only good to invest in a good defi rather than put a lot of our money into the various defi

Synthetix and Comp took the lead for me, they are the best DeFi projects presently, Comp is pretty over costly which makes me not invest on the project but I have Synthetix in my portfolio, another good one is Aave but I'm looking for a fresh new DeFi project that I can buy at ICO price to make good ROI

It seems that DeF is shifting traditional financial products to the open-source and decentralized world. I guess it could bring several benefits in comparison with traditional financial services. DeFi is being the latest trend. I do not think it will such big in future however, at the beginning of the any trends, there will be a lot of hype. For example, deflationary hype was BOMB token which hit $14, IEO hype etc. But after all, everything goes shit at the end of the day. I think you should be very careful investing in DeFi as it is totally a new trend and very hard to predict how community will welcome DeFi although people are speculating that DeFi will have a good future.

DeFi got so much hype already, that it's likely that sometime soon this bubble will pop, though knowing crypto markets, it's possible that this FOMO will last for longer, so it might be still profitable. I personally wouldn't touch this DeFi with a 6-feet pole, cause I'm happy with just owning BTC, but if you want to dive into DeFi, my advice is to not get too attached to it and make sure to dump it when you'll secure your profit. It can easily crash and leave you with worthless tokens, like it was with the ICO craze.

You are right about what you heard about Defi projects but are you also aware that there is every possiblity that scammers will leverage on Defi hype to bring about their own scam projects; am not being certain that it will happen but rather considering what scammers has done so far in this space then nothing is difficult for them once the opportunity is there. So my suggestion is, it's good you want to invest in Defi projects which might be because of hype or because of what you have seen them offer, however take your time to research on the respective projects so that you can make the right choice and protect your funds.

•The experience of the CEO if he has been successful in previous projects,

•The project idea itself,

•whether the product is already,

•the Use of Tokens They Sell,

•Market The Altcoin Stamp (or ICO Stamp for the ICO Phase) along with the Price and Number of Tokens / Coins in circulation,

•Community and Developer Support

•Product Release Stage: Pilot / MVP / Alpha / Beta / Public Launch and
•Whitepaper

DefiPulse is a great resource for this, it has a list of all the major DeFi applications based on their total assets under management.

It doesn't actually list the yield you might get from using each one, but it can definitely give you some insight on how popular each one is.

I'd personally stick with non-custodial DeFi solutions for now though; just google "Non-custodial DeFi" and you'll find a bunch of options like Compound, Nuo, Aave etc.

Compare them based on their viability and return, and make your judgment based on your risk appetite.

DeFi are all the rage this year. While it's good to get trendy and get aboard the DeFi bandwagon, don't forget to apply caution and do some due diligence before investing. Not doing research and due diligence is one thing most ico investors got wrong and they paid for it. Also be serious conscious, Balancer got hacked recently and over $500k of user funds were stolen as a result. We might see more of this happening just like the days when ICOs were red hot.

You should have also mentioned the names of the defi projects you have invested in. Although the defi trend is surging and it is good if people can make some extra crypto for just holding crypto through these projects but at the same time i will suggest to not invest in every new defi project because scammers can take advantage of this situation and can come with fake projects so be careful atleast with new projects.

Don't invest due to hype, you can ask those that lost as a result of them FOMOing into ICO, IEO and the rest. Defi aren't new they're just currently been hyped and in due time they'll all die down. Billions are currently flowing into that sector that means there's potential to profit if you're smart enough but do understand that where even quick profits can be made, it also has a disadvantage of quick loss.
Invest wisely, invest only money you're ok lossing so it doesn't affect you financially.

Learn about it first. Not everything you see is profitable, this how people become broke for being too much optimistic with the DeFi that they've just learned.

Before you invest, study, and do your research because not every DeFi will give you the profit that you're thinking. Some of DeFi's can cause you disappointment if you lack research.

Do not forget about the old wisdom: "Buy by rumor, sell on the news."
