I think you don't need to asked the store  if they accept bitcoin because if they really accept bitcoin they will make a banner and put it in front of their store just to inform people that they are accepting bitcoin as payment. I think also that there is no small stores that accept bitcoin only online store. But maybe someday for the continues improvement of bitcoin other stores will also accept it as payment.

How many times have you came in a store and asked whether or not they accept bitcoin when you wanted to pay?
I don't do it anymore, if there's no sign of "BTCitcoin Accepted Here" I won't ask.

Should we do that EACH time we visit ANY store?
Before I do this but most of the stores that I asked doesn't have an idea on what I'm saying so I don't do it as I've said. I'll only receive the same answers.

Would we create a huge advertisement for BTC that way?
No need to do that, once the government steps in that's a free advertisement.

Would stores start accepting it when they encounter a couple of people on a weekly basis asking them if they accept bitcoin?
There's a possibility, "due to popular demand".

Should we start doing this? o.o
Should we create a community so hard core that asks for everything they pay if it could be handled in BTC?
Not really but time will come this will happen gradually.

It has been known that bitcoin around the world I think today is still big enough to raise bitcoin right now and there are many ways to use bitcoin today but my online shop only knows that the bitcoin acceptable.

Yes, I have asked several stores already here in my country if they accept bitcoin. I don’t know but I just want to know if they do and if they are familiar with it and if they gain interest after I ask. But sad to say that they do not accept it as payment of their goods. Some store owners said they don’t know what is it. Others say they simply don’t accept. While others say stay away from bitcoin because it is a scam I will lose my money if I continue and someone else get rich and left me moneyless.

I think that you only spend a lot of time, let alone in a country that bans bitcoin, so, I do not think there are any stores that accept bitcoin payment. we understand that bitcoin is the solution, but for some people bitcoin is a problem.

so, your actions will only spend a lot of time, stop asking and start spreading bitcoin to the public.

If it's online store then i think i can ask but if it's face to face i doubt i would mention it because here in my country it isn't really that famous for using bitcoin as a payment in physical store

It‘s a good idea, indirectly it will make them think to accept Bitcoin as a tool of payment but I still doubt it considering the price is still wildly unstable. The amount to pay may change at any time.

if you many asking about bitcoin transactions, I think you only will get them bored, because that is not the way to make them receive bitcoin.

if crypto has been accepted by the public and got support from the government, I think the store will also accept crypto.
Actually as far as I i remember I read some statements in this thread that there is exciting store or establishment that accepts cryptocurrency  coins, but is not yet confirmed where and what store accept crypto coins as mode of payments.

That is a little bit fun for me cause in my country when somebody see the sign that this shop accept crypto he take the photo, put this for example on facebook and everyone is making big eyes and saying where is this shop, we need to visit it so nowadays in my country it is not that popular as it could be.

If we do this and it succeeds on a large scale, it is harmful to the Bitcoin network, thousands of transactions will take place in the second and therefore higher fees.
Higher fees ----> Panic in the markets ----> Little returns from using bitcoin "I can’t pay 3$ fee to buy a coffee" -----> Price Crash.
My answer is no; Bitcoin is now more suitable for international transactions and not for daily use.
If technical changes occur, the situation will change

What? o.o

You just said more adoption is harmful for BTC o.o

if alone i think its too hard, maybe we can use the community arround the world, or the big plan like makes the payment gateway with ICO Project, to make this happen,  to makes the all stores in the world use the bitcoin as their payment

Well as you probably now, Bitcoin is still being siphoned into mainstream conversation. This means that not everyone is going to know about the workings or uses of cryptocurrency just yet. It's not like people would just willingly switch from forms of payment that they're comfortable with and trust to a system that they can't even physically work with and haven't encountered yet. Give it some time; stores will gradually catch onto the cryptocurrency wave and start adapting to the changing market.

my country bans crypto, but government decisions are not firm, so we can still use bitcoin for crypto trade. but, the problem is not that.

how the store will accept crypto, while the government bans it, and even many people still do not know about bitcoin.

so, the community's job is not to force, but to spread the benefits of bitcoin to the public.

As for that, first the government should accept and trust crypto, bitcoin actually, with this they can encourage entrepreneur or businesses to accept bitcoin as a medium for paying something. As we can see, using bitcoin can make every transactions more easier that before, no more nonless, because every transactions you will do it will be recorded to your account. And moreover bitcoin can make our lives easier.

How many times have you came in a store and asked whether or not they accept bitcoin when you wanted to pay?

I have asked multiple online stores/services to accept bitcoin. for example I have sent messages to Steam support back in 2015 and asked them to accept bitcoin. I would like to believe that all these requests from users like me made them accept bitcoin eventually (sadly they stopped last year due to high fees).
the same thing can be done with any other merchant out there. we need to show them there is demand but at the same time not to spam them!

That is actually that I can do every day as it doesn't take much effort and by this way bitcoin will also be advertised and they will also think that bitcoin is having a real life use so even they wouldn't be accepting then also they would take accepting bitcoin into consideration. So by this way every member could contribute in the large acceptance of bitcoin and when the store start accepting bitcoin then they would also stick bitcoin accepted here posters outside their store and that will also be seen by many other stores.

I think it will depend of country of where you belong because here in our country if the establishment will accept Bitcoin as payment then there is a Bitcoin logo posted in the door saying that they are accepting Bitcoin as payment just like VISA and Master Card in which it was posted everywhere. Maybe Bitcoin is not really popular in your country in which majority of the establishments are just accepting fiat and credit cards only

I think they will be informing their customers is they will be accepting Bitcoin or other crypto currencies in their store. That will be a good idea to one of my country's city but I don't think it will be that popular.

In my country, a lot of Bitcoin scams and frauds are happening and I think that brought a damage to some people that are maybe, trying to go or invest their money into crypto currencies. Since there are a popular exchange of Bitcoin in our country that can send BTC or PHP without a fee, that will erase the problem to the fee but the problem lies within the people who will be using it.

only if you REALLY want to spend your bitcoins. otherwise if you just want them to accept bitcoin and then you continue to hold/trade your bitcoin then don't bother the stores. because there is no point for them to go through the trouble of setting up a system to accept bitcoin and then nobody spends their coins or does it once or twice and then no more.
<...>

Agree with this statement, I've heard DougPolk (famous crypto youtuber) talked about how some poker website accepted bitcoin payment after a lot of people asked about it.
And then, it turns out no one paid with bitcoin.
I think it's better to use bitcoin in the p2p transaction, for paying friends or family overseas.
As for the merchant, we need more bitcoin-based company and bitcoin Jesus.

I take this one step further. If I asked them and they said no, then I spring into action and start giving advice on how to accept Bitcoin and to debunk all the myths that surround it. I basically do not accept no for a answer, because there is no negative side for them in doing this, other than a little time to train their staff.

Go the extra mile and you get another merchant where you can spend your bitcoins.
