still no 19 gpu bios update, im on latest 2000+

thanks for nothing asus...

Lol? U can use 13 regular and 6 mining cards.

they promised both in the manual and on their website 19 regular cards with a "future" bios update. without the need for mining cards.

This MoBo is a pain even with about 12 cards. Puting a card on the x16 slot slows it down if more than 4 cards attached a lot.
Also the cards disaper on reboot randomly. You have to unplug and replug the riser to be green again.
It's a great idea for the board just horrible finished product.

Strange. I have 3x motherboards with each 13gpu. No problems
I have 3 also. 2 with 10 and 1 with 12 running hive os.
What os are you using? Do you have a gpu on the x16 slot?

Change Your Worlds Build a New Era!
Im running 13 GPUs on one B250 ME M/B.  (2) 1080, (4) 1060 and (7) 1050 TI. Thats Rig2.  Rig1 currently has 9 GPU's.  (4) RX 580 (1) RX 570 (1) RX 470 (1) RX 560 (1) 1050TI and (1) 1060.  They are stupid easy to setup.  Patience and install one card and its driver one at a time.  Reboot and verify before shutdown and installing the next GPU.  Im running Windows 10 Pro. G3300 CPU (2) 4gb memory 2133 and 120gb ssd.
well a lot of graphics cards don't understand how you can connect, I have a similar motherboard was a maximum of 8 pieces where you can still stick 5 pieces?! recently, mining has suspended and sold the farm, and now regret it. after all, cryptocurrency is growing

Any hope or info Asus will realease a BIOS update to allow to use 19 Identical GPUs (RX580) ?

Forget asus, you need to hope the competition will do, if the competition does then the asus does.

do not buy risers with side fed usb pcie link if you are to use this board (photo link below)

the usb cable coming off sideways (instead of vertical) blocks the pcie slots behind it making them inaccessible

https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB102UESFXXXXbRXFXXq6xXFXXXg/ITHOO-USB3-0-60CM-PCIE-1X-to-16X-Graphics-Card-Extension-Cable-with-Multi-power-Ports.jpg

----------------------------------------

jacking as many gpus on one mobo as possible, im personaly against for numerous reasons that i wont bore you with,
i own 2 asus b250 mining and have 6xvega64 on each running for weeks on end no prob, more than 6 the system is not as stable
using msi z270 tomahawk with a 1to4 pcie adapter to jack 6 vega64 yeilds ok stability but not as good as the asus
tried the Asrock but i must admit my favourite is the Asus as long as its no more than 6 heavy gpus on it.
sorry have no experience with lighter gpus only 64s

these boards only really shine with rx570/580 and 1060's
its really tough to get more then 8gpu on one system!
It is quite easy I running 10x rx vega 64 on this board...

I have 6 Vega 56’s running on this board.

For some reason anytime one of the GPU overheats and causes the rig to crash, the last slot that I have a GPU plugged into will randomly disable on the restart. I can switch it to another slot...or I can even just kill the power for a second, restart again and the slot lights back up green (it’ll be red when it’s disbaled) and it’s enavled once more.

The problem is that I manage my mining rigs remotely, so manually killing the power is a royal pain as I typically have to drive to the office to do so.

I also have 6 Vegas on an Asus z270-p & 6 on a asrock btc+ board and never have that issue on either of those boards.

I would love to hear that this is a bios setting that I can change but I don’t see anything in the bios that would be causing this to happen. I’m also on the latest version of the bios, I believe.

Has anybody else run into this? Any ideas why the cause might be?  It feels like some kind of protection setting but like I mentioned I don’t see anything in the bios and my google searches have come up blank so far.

there are 3 seperate pages where you must change pcie spec to Gen2 instead of the common Gen1. asus b250 mining expert needs gen2 set for some amd cards, most of the time it is not necessary. the most common problem i have had were bad usb cables for risers. i dont know if it is the cause of asus b250, since its the only motherboards i own for mining... but check to see if thats the case. Use 6 known working good risers, and riser usb cables on asus b250 and see if that solves your problems.

P106/104/102 mining cards' bioses can reportedly be modded and reflashed, regular cards are locked. There are no public ways to mod a bios so far, but AFAIK it is being worked on.
