Have you tried upgrading the CPU to a newer one? Newer CPUs which support more PCIe lanes may help.

I am having a problem with only 14 GTX 1070s being detected with an i5 processor. I guess a newer processor may help with this issue.

Bought also couple of these boards but having some serious problems to get them run smoothly.

So far i have attached 15 Asus P104-100 Mining cards in to the board since that´s the highest amount what
you can get without having issues with Hive OS running the X server.

But seems like it is making me having a lot of invalid shares when trying to run it with more than 13 gpus?

Also if anyone have answer to why the x16 slot is not working at all when i attach even a one mining card to one of the x1 slots.
I'm using a I3 6100 CPU what haves the IGPU on it, but i have set the booting for graphics to PCIE but it wont help for the issue.

Bought 1 of these boards and had the easiest setup ever with 8 1080 ti cards, so I bought another that I'm trying to get going with 10 x 2080's.  The second board takes about an hour and a half to load windows after adding more than 1 card.  It will eventually boot with 10 in it and doesn't show any issues in the device manager (yes windows 10) but when running mining software it only shows 4 are doing anything...So strange.  Currently just trying to get a boot with 2 as that seems to be the sticking point.  It posts to the bios just fine and the cards always light up green on the post page.  It's just when it heads to the OS it stalls forever...I checked the boot log and compared it to the working machine and there's really nothing different.

So far I've tried:
1 card works fine anything more boot takes forever...not just the first book but all boots
Cloned the drive from the working system - same issue
Reinstalled the OS 4 times... - same issue
swapped ssd drives - same issue
Renistalled the different nvidia drivers about 10 times... - same issue
tried multiple bios - same issue

The only things different about these 2 boards is the CPU, which both are on the approved list and the RAM, which both are not on the approved list.   Might incompatible RAM cause a system that appears totally fine, to hang when adding a 2nd card?  OR what else?

Crap? It works fine to autostart mining software and restart when gpu gets faulty.

Do u guys use Asus mining software for this board? I want to prevent the software to start on startup, how do I do that?

Hell NO  Grin Just deinstall it or, if you dont know how to deinstall, go into the Task Manager / Autostart and deactivate the autostart of those crap tools.

I will test it, but I have +200 rigs HiveOS is just easier (SMOS too).
I don't have many of those boards, so I might just sack them, but I don't understand what the problem is, on driver fucks up at 13 and I get it to 16 and than I get the error...

“A nexgen decentralized ride hailing ”
the Linux operating system can and supports so many graphics cards, but the motherboard itself I think this number will not pull.

Dudes, I get 19 GPUS recognized (green) by the board, but when the OS boots - I use HIVE OS - I get some strange "Hive X server error.... buggy drivers ..." message and nothing works (19 cards do show up thoe).
I don't get this message up to 15 cards, when I go 16 everything fucks up. I'm using P104s
I build 4 more of those rigs - same problem +15 and everything fucks up.

Any ideas?

The recent price drop on this mobo makes it rather interesting - however it seems people are still having issues getting it to run the maximum amount of supported cards.
Even the company stated if we can load all of maximum amounts of GPUs in this card but the reality will be different. It looks like a lot of slot doesn't mean if this will become a perfect product. I thought that this card has a maximum card less than 10 GPUs. Maybe those can try to reduce it into a few GPUs.

Yes hello to all i just got this board and no matter what i do i cant get the 6 rx570s to show up. sometimes it will show 2,or 4 and one time i even got it to show 5. but i cant figure it out i have a 700 watt psu powering the mobo and cpu and a 1200 watt psu powering the risers and cards...  at times it will show different slots red and green  and the next time the slot that was green is now red and the red one is now green
thanks in advance

Gentlemen, what do you say? Is it possible to run 19 Nvidia gtx1070 on Linux? Or have to do the settings?
Visit this site and try to read the whole explanation about what it is https://www.asus.com/id/Motherboards/B250-MINING-EXPERT/
It's PCie slots and you must try to get more information about what PCie through the internet and that will increase your knowledge about that dude.

the answer is no. its a bios limitation that prevents the board from working with more than 13 normal GPUs.

you can only get 19 GPUs working if you use mining gpus like the P106-100 cards
