I am using a 16GB kingston USB3.0 stick with Hive OS on it and it works great.
The 3 molexes on the MB are not connected, I have powered risers (2 per cable coming from the PSU).

Risers are something fishy, sometimes have to switch either cables or power them from another PSU until everything runs fine.
If they have an issue with power the MB shows multiple slots in red, its just figuring out which one to change PSU then and everything is green again.

Which version riser are you using? I use strictly 006c ver and oddly have never even gotten a bad one, yet.  I strictly use 120gb ssd, they are $48. I run win 10 Pro, updated to 1709 and Asus bios ver 1001.  The 3 molexes are NOT connected on my m/b.  I have two sticks of 4gb memory pc2133.

I use 006C risers.
8pin from psu to 8pin/6+2pin (8pin to gpu and 6pin to riser).

Yeah and spend 2 hours reinstalling drivers. Those old HDDs are unusable, you'd better just buy a cheap flash drive and put any linux mining build on it.

Yeah, I was using HDD and was getting errors using ethminer and parity. Once I switched to using a SSD, the errors went away.

I dont use molex

13 amd radeon 570
2x evga g2 1600w (gpu + risers powered directly from vga slots on psu)
Pentium g4560
4gb ram
Win 10

Currently hashing 30.2 mh/s on each gpu.
Power draw from the wall: 1520W 220V

OC directly in claymore
Clocks/volt 1150/0850 2150/0850

2 more rigs coming up this weekend.
It is very stable. Mining for a week without issues.

What you use to run things windows or linux

Windows
What drive you using

If you have any old drive at your disposal don't buy SSD, just use whatever you have.
Invest in SSD only if you don't have anything else to use.

Can I run for example 13 card Rx 570 and 6  gtx 1060 will it work
No.  When running all 19 slots on the motherboard 6 HAVE TO BE P106-100 which is the dedicated minor card (Essentially a factory manufactured 1060 made to mine only with no video outputs).  It has to post as a 106 card or you WILL NOT be able to use 19 cards total.

My board has never seen Windows.

I believe that you mentioned that you're using Xubuntu 14.04. How come you choose that version of Linux? Do you just like it or is it somehow better than Ubuntu or other distros?

I'm running asus B250, Ubuntu 16.04, two 1070tis and I'm testing with a RX580, NVidia 390.25 driver, AMD 17.50-511655 driver. ethminer sees the 1070tis and RX580 but I can't get ethminer to mine 1070tis with cuda and mine with the RX580 with opencl. It will mine with 1070tis with cuda all day long Smiley

Are you using an old NVidia driver that somehow doesn't conflict with the RX580? Or do you think this is an OS issue / ethminer issue?

Thanks.

I would not experiment, if you can avoid that kind of stuff just go with school examples.
It should work because two PSU should be on same voltage potential but you never know what could happen if one PSU fails.

Not voltage potential, its called same power phase, if not then everything burns.

There is no "phase" to DC.
Different power supplies WILL have slightly different voltage outputs though, usually.

Power phase from a Direct Current power supply huh?  The inherent traits of a AC-DC switching power supply is that the output is directly isolated from the input.  There is no such thing as phase on the DC side of a power supply.

The reason they dont want you to mix power supply feeds that are powering different GPU banks (A, B, C) is so you dont have bank A trying to draw off of B power supply which can lead to excessive current amounts flowing in conductive traces of the motherboard.  Amounts of current that are actually higher than what the board traces are rated for.  Get in that situation and your traces on the motherboard will become a fusible link and burn open.

It should be like that, look at this asus build, not even one picture with molex pluged in.

There is no need for the molex 1,2,3 to be connected, is not drawing any power from the motherboard pci. The 3 molex as far as I understand on this motherboard is to make the board stable when all 19 gpus are connected. If the motherboard is already stable without all the 3 molex then there is no need.

If you use powered risers, you don't need to use the MOLEX at all. Then there is no question of "which PS should be attached to which MOLEX" on the MB.
Does that mean either using powered risers and no MOLEX, or passive risers with MOLEX will lead to the same result?

(I don't have that board, just curious)

I recently had the motherboard burned. Was connecting all 3 into one supply. My risers are powered thru 6pin separately. If above is true not sure why my moles were burnt  Embarrassed   Or I misunderstood something. Any help ?
