It is very stable. Mining for a week without issues.

If you use powered risers, you don't need to use the MOLEX at all. Then there is no question of "which PS should be attached to which MOLEX" on the MB.
Does that mean either using powered risers and no MOLEX, or passive risers with MOLEX will lead to the same result?(I don't have that board, just curious)

The molex were the issue. I had to plug them all in. Thanks for your help
What cards do you have on your rig.
Its strange because even the Asus on their test bench didn't use molex because of powered risers.
I've had much better luck with the previous BIOS update and not the latest. I had some performance issues on the latest and quickly reverted back.

Reinstalled Invidia driver & reboot.
Then - DAG Error 11
Increased virtual memory from 16 to 32
RX580's seem slow, I will have to look into OC Bios
One glitch I've noticed - Win10 - When 2nd bank of GPU's is used - When I try to click on the Window/Start Button nothing happens. I have to right click and choose an option from that menu. Wish I new Linux. But I barely know Windows.

My rig 1 B250 Asus ME board has this same glitch when you click on windows/start button too. This rig has 6 AMD cards on it and 2 Nvidia.
I had also a problem with this mobo, after my bios update I was not able to save the bios settings, it always back to cpu instead of pcie, it's annoying!
So after some more reading, I'm now rather considering the Gigabyte B250 instead of the Asus B250 Mining Expert, because shared PCIe lanes are just no good idea.
So what's the catch to be running more than 12 GPUs on the Asus B250? You have to be running GPUs from Asus for the remaining 7 slots, right? If doing it with 12 x GeForce 1070 + 7 x Asus, can it be really running stable?

For the last 6 u need mining cards.
My rig 2 is running 10 Nvidia Cards but will show red on the 11th card if added. Im running windows 10 pro updated to 1709. Bios is up to date. 8gb (4gb in each slot). Runs flawlessly with 10 cards and its a set it and forget rig until you stick that 11th card in then it will not see it in device manager. So i obviously didnt follow the owners manual about mixing in AMD cards (I only own 8 AMD cards and they are on a nother B250 m/b). Has anyone else had this no 11th card recognize problem?

Also, double-check the instructions but if I remember correctly you have to have the same power supply plugged into all three (or at least the groups you're using). I saw somewhere someone was trying different psu's in each or something. Can't remember, but worth confirming in the instruction manual.

I have built my first rig using Nividia 1060 GPU's. SMOS Ubuntu USB stick.
So far I've installed 3 GPU's but when I boot it only shows the first one as green and the other two are red. The fan comes on for the first GPU but not the the other two. PSU is working and I'm powering the GPU's and risers from a 1200W corsair.

Check your cables. Sounds like either the usb cable isn't running from the PCIe slot to the riser, the riser isn't powered, or the card isn't powered. Also, make sure you're starting from group 1 of the PCIe slots. My first B250 wouldn't boot if I didn't have the 4pin molex plugged in for each group even if I had the risers powered separately - so check the instructions on that, but you might have to plug it in as well.

I would not experiment, if you can avoid that kind of stuff just go with school examples.

Not voltage potential, its called same power phase, if not then everything burns.

I have two PSU's connected to my B250. The first has the CPU line ran to the board. It also has a molex running to the first set of PCIe slots and if I remember correctly, you are supposed to use the same PSU for all three of the molex slots by the PCIe slots - I'm using the same PSU 1 for that. Then I have a second PSU that is plugged into the #2 PSU slot on the board and runs to gpu's not connected to the first psu.

I have this board and was running 6 gtx1070's with claymore. Decided to add more GPU's. I am running Win10. I was told I could only run 8 invidia & 8 AMD. So I purchased 3 RX580's. Now the Bios sees all the GPU's but Windows only recognizes 5 of the 1070's. Any help would be appreciated.
