Just thought I'd stop in and comment on how exciting that auction turned out to be towards the end there.

I've been totally overwhelmed reading through the thread by the warm welcome from this community, which has intimidated me at times.. to wander on in and present my bitcoin art in front of the "OG's". My main goal since day 1 with these works has been to use my art to spread the word about bitcoin, so I hope this is felt among many of you who participated here.

I must admit I hyped this up a bit on my twitter account so I can confirm I directly contributed to the newbie rush.. sorry about that. Roll Eyes Also, thanks to Yogg for working with me on this special piece to commemorate this important event in bitcoin's history. It was an honor for me to be involved in creating these. Congrats to all who won the 21 gold sets, and I hope to interact with you all more in the future, considering some other collectibles in the pipeline for future release which I'm also quite excited about! As for pawn stars, I can envision Chumlee telling Corey over and over it's worth way more than 9 bucks... So they call in the Bitcoin collectible "expert". In walks MJ... LOL Cheesy

mj responds with "lol skam, not worth anything over 8 bux'.

"my nephew was telling me about bitcorn, sounds like a total scam and backed by nothing. artwork and decals are nice though.. $8.15 tops"

One day I'm going to walk into PAWN Stars with my silver addition. Dude is going to tell me "unfortunately the gold set is worth 100k, this silver 1 is worth 10k, and best I can do is 9." Lol

"People just aren't into Bitcoin anymore, they prefer shiny rocks. Best I can do is 9..". 9k? "No $9.. take it or leave it"

The Stone the masons rejected was the cornerstone.
If I can get this and the rules are saying that, I would take it.

Then its yours

but you realize that what is says is:
"For all newly created accounts...prior to bidding...kindly deposit the amount you have bid  to the BTC addy on the OP."

This was why I got confused. That sentence is not super clear. My account is two years old.

Please.

Yes later it says:
"Until then, all newbie bids will be void."

But I associated that with the beginning of the sentence.

I think that the rules where unclear and I did a good job and that the decision is not fair, and that if that was the case it should have been voided immediately and then I would have made payment and then I wouldn't have manipulated the bid. Please honor my bid. The rules were written in a weird way.

It does say "Until then, all newbie bids will be void."

And with the insanity of how fast and how many bids were coming in.....each time I wanted to post or update the list I was stopped by the forum telling me new post was placed. I barely had enough time to keep up.

I'm very sorry that you feel that way. Sad
This is really just up to this :

It doesn't matter if your account is 2 years old, or 6 years old.
I am very sorry, but this is how it is.

I am sure you would have made the payment, without manipulating the bids. This is the worse because I feel you are genuine.
If we have to assume the same for all Newbie accounts, it's impossible to conduct an auction properly.

Other bidders with Newbie accounts made deposits as per the rule (you'll see it if you browse the thread) so I don't think it is as confusing as you say.
