The Augmentors team has been hard at work and we have exciting news and important updates that we’d like to share.
The Augmentors creators and founders (Michael Deon and Kyle Haffenden) have realised that in order to achieve their vision for Augmentors they need to focus their attention on game creation. Realizing this, and in collaboration with the Augmentors advisors, they have brought a CEO on board to support and guide Augmentors to greatness.
We’re thrilled to announce that Gert Kruger (https://www.linkedin.com/in/gert-kruger-19b04b7/) has joined the Augmentors team as CEO. Gert has a technical and engineering background, and brings a wealth of business expertise. He is an avid gamer and we are very excited to have him on board. We’ll make sure that you get to know Gert a little better in the coming months.
The Augmentors white paper has been finalized and will be made available to you as soon as possible. The delay is due to a patent investigation that is currently underway to protect the value of the game, databits and the unique way that databits will be used in-game. Hopefully, this will be another world-first.
Following extensive market research, we’ve realised that Slack is not an appropriate gaming community channel and this Slack group is thus not where we will build our primary gaming audience. This channel serves as a medium of communication between ICO backers, databit holders and the Augmentors team.
Significant marketing progress has been made and we have a clearly defined target audience. To ensure that we get valuable and actionable feedback during Alpha we need our target audience to be our Alpha testers. We will build a community for Alpha (using Facebook) and will confirm an official Alpha date soon. We would love for all of you to get involved, if you don’t already, ‘like’ us on Facebook.
The Augmentors team is completely focused on producing a world-class, globally successful game. This in turn will create long-term value and growth for Augmentors and databits. Why are updates so rare? Slack is a closed group, not accessible by web searches.
Well for one thing, not much more value will flow from this forum to the Augmentors group. We served the purpose they needed from us which was to bankroll their idea. In the future, value will come from gamers that most likely do not know much about crypto. Being active here will no longer help them so what is the point?

This is all a bit weird: Beta release was on roadmap for June, but nothing was communicated. Then some deal with an esports consultant testing the Beta on his platform, zero publicity about this testing. My guess they will release Beta and no one will notice, because they don't know what they are doing, no experience with PR.
Those that hangs on slack notice everything. There is a slack sub channel with #development-updates, where we get some screenshots of what they are doing. There are also weekly updates happening there. Usually on Friday or Saturday. But as I look now, last weeks seems to be missing. I will try to post here the one that will happen this end of the week.
Would be good to get an ETA and details on the beta release.
Hi Guys, i agree, some more updates would be really good here, i am in touch with the main developers/founders of Augmentors Game in Slack and on Skype, there is big work going on in the background for a big marketing campaign, which will bring a lot more attention to the project.
But hopefully Kyle, will be able to give us a update on Alpha release and hopefully some more updates on what has been happening since the ICO ended. It is appreciated not many people use Slack or have the time to check it a few times a week, so hopefully a weekly update can be made here in the near future.
All i can say it, rest assured, the guys are working flat out, attending a lot of meetings, many of which include flights, also appearances from Michael on live TV and events in the Tech space and gaming.esports field (South Africa is somewhat fast becoming one of the big names in the Esports world.

Someone always notices. It's just harder for day traders to monitor information to trade on.

They promoted their business here, and collected money for their grand idea here on bitcointalk. After being extremely active, once they realized they would not be collecting anymore money here, they just disappeared. Whether they are working on the project or not, the fact remains they are not supporting the very people that financed their whole fucking operation. How hard is it to log in every day or two and make an update? It was not hard before the ICO to do so!
Actually you're wrong here. The Augmentors devs were never active in Bitcointalk before, during and after ICO. See the length of the thread, only 44 pages.
Sadly they were not active on Twitter and other communication channels so they gathered way less founds as they could with such a good game. But that was only a profit for those that invested in ICO back then. Less coins was sold, bigger share we got.

You will find on slack chat the team are more active there and anyone can ask them questions.
Augmented Reality has not even got started yet, huge uses for Augmented Reality are just being though of or proto types being made.
Augmentors game is at the forefront, they are developing a full game here, one of first class quailty.
I'm no game developer, but I'd say a year is amazing going for a game of this high standard to be created.
Also, most people here are investors, I made a long term investment and know investment s take time to prosper, in the mean time.....
I am doing all I can to help spread the word and get more people to know and learn about this project.
I hope more will do the same

Augmented Reality is going to be a big BUZZ WORD in 2018+++ all kinds of amazing ideas being put forward, one i really like the idea of, having a app for your car and using AR to help fix it when anything goes wrong, Augmented Reality is going to be like having your own personal assistant (better than a robot) always up to date.
mobile gaming is growing massive year on year.. Augmentors game is going to be huge, thats Crystal clear.
I dont know to be honest. They are taking so long that, by the time things are released Augmented reality will be a thing of the past

The main difference among the three gaming tokens, Databits is used in augmented reality gaming, it's one of a kind. The others already have countless non-blockchain competition. So I would give some premium to DTB.
Interesting. I never thought of this. I think all 3 games are or will be something special, but yes there are not many games similar to AUGMENTORS game. But that dont mean there will not be a year from now. It is definitely one of the paths where gaming is moving.
