We’ve got an exciting update that we’d like to share with you.
The team has been hard at work to produce a playable version of Augmentors by the end of this week, and we are incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made. Before we get into the details we’d like to tell you about some other exciting news.
We’re thrilled to announce that Marshall Long, the Managing Partner of Mockit eSports, has joined us in an advisory capacity. Marshall has extensive experience helping gaming studios produce and market world-class eSports games. We are absolutely delighted that he has chosen to partner with us.
Marshall has reviewed the game and is very happy with the progress we have made. As per his recommendation we’ve decided to release the current version of the game as a pre-alpha to selected eSports specialists and of course a few of you. The aim is to get early-on constructive feedback from pre-alpha testers. If you’re one of the lucky ones… get ready for an exclusive pre-alpha play of the game this weekend, which will give you a taste of the game to come. Pre-alpha players will be notified by Friday and we cannot wait to share our hard work with you.
To re-confirm, we are still on track for a final release of Augmentors in early 2018 and as promised will burn our Databits hold down to 30% on 15th June 2017.

Don't want to FUD or anything, but Marshall Long is connected to some shitty projects, including Eboost, a cryptocurrency which lost over 95% of it's value after ICO. It was really a shakedown as the team didn't take any action to protect the value of the coin or project whatsoever. For reference check

marshall is simply a advisor, the vc's think he can offer good advice for augmengors game in the esports world.
as marshall long ceo of mock. it who puts together hter teams to play in the rocket league
so that the only role he plays as a advisor, paid only if certain targets are met.
so there is nothing to worry about and most importantly should he fail to meet expectations, then that will be the end of that.
they must of liked something about him. but clearly hes a good talker, i for the record was not impressed by this choice, but lets give benefit of doubt.
one thing is for sure, augmentors game is going to be amazing
The message states that he convinced them to release the game in early alpha.
If i had to guess he bought in royally and is planning to use the momentum from the early alpha release to do a quick P&D.
Reason why i'm thinking this is that from what i know of this guy, he doesn't do anything unless it directly benefits him.
Taking this narrative he probably got the advisory role to get some insider info, and when he realized progress is coming along nicely, he figured out he could capitalize on it quickly if they release it in an early alpha and the positive noises give an impulse to the coin.
Don't take my word for it, but i'm positive this guy is bamboozling one way or the other.
