My Feb 3 order is also still missing from the orders page. Walletbit confirmed that they (Avalon) have the BTC and my correct shipping address so I am not really concerned.

However I don't know what my order id is ... just the txid and walletbit batch reference.

Has anyone's order been added to their "View Order Page" recently?

I ordered via Guest Checkout and had nothing show on store.avalon-asics.com. After nothing appeared there by Friday last week, I opened up another ticket, but still nothing today.

I do have a confirmation from WalletBit, but I have never heard anything from Avalon and now I have two tickets open (Feb and last Saturday) with absolutely no response.

I never know what to expect from Avalon so I'm left hear wondering if something has gone wrong.

I have just the same. Sit tight.

I bet you there's a guy who bought a lot of BFLs when they started taking money, then bought a lot of Avalon 2s when they started pre orders, and lots of batch 3 pre ordered as well. That guy may as well have bought in at 31 dollars last last crash, and 266 last crash. It wasn't you, wasn't it?

LOL

I think I bought at 250 then sold at 51.
I'm pretty sure that's not a good plan.

I didn't expect that from you Prof, just buy and hold Wink

April 15 update:
We are ramping up and the shipping of batch two has indeed begun, albeit not up to speed, we expect this situation to improve in a week or so once the equipment finish installing and the new, additional crew get use to the process. we are in also the process of merging many earlier problematic orders, if your order still does not show up in the store by Friday of the 19th please open another ticket.
Those who wish to trade in your FPGA generation Icarus or Lancelot: it is time to package and RMA those units back to us.. The bold text is probably when they will be starting.

Source? I wish they'd use their web site news to post updates.
that was from their email newsletter.

Batch 1 got delivered - nice.

Damn. I am still waitting anxiously for my last 8 units.

Well. This sucks. If you have to wait 4 months since "shipping", some batch 2 will not arrive till 4 months too.. lets say around august. Cripes.
No, when bfl and asicminer will make the network difficulty skyrocket they will get rid of the units they are mining with - you can be sure that you will receive your (useless) batch 2 units before august.

On to batch three, we at Avalon did not even wish to sell another batch. If you recall, our original plan was to produce only one batch, sell chips to thwart the centralization of mining, but due to the lackluster performance of our competitors we are here today as the exact centralization we tried to decouple. In addition, this delay is eating into our timeline for this project's future goals and various other projects. To be frank: it was a simple decision of build a mining farm ourselves and mine for a month or so to get the funding for things like the SMT line and next generation development vs. raise the price and sell units trying to get the money earlier to counterbalance the delay we have had. So, we came up with some terms and left the choice to the community.munity.

my understanding is they raised prices for batch #3 instead of doing the mining for a month. The community decided their price wasn't too high and sold out within a day or so.

regards,
Brian

They were supposed to be back from holidays, processing orders at full speed, on april 15, since the machines are finished and already mining for sometime now.

Speaking of batch two, we are unfortunately going to be late. This should not be too surprising as the delay from batch one will no doubt carry over. This delay also caused us to make drastic adjustments to our project timeline dealing with anything with a lead time like parts purchasing. We plan to start shipping majority of batch two orders starting on 15th of April. Not all the news is bad news however, originally around this period we are suppose to take this time to organize, make some changes and install a brand new SMT line in our facility. This upgrade will effectively double our production capacity, it enable us to put Avalon into the hands of our customer even faster. The new line is currently scheduled to come online during the last week of April. We expect batch two and three to ship much faster than batch one mainly there is no Chinese New Year and we have overcome the problems encountered in shipping batch one.
