What do you mean? it's been controlled ever since, that's why this market is really prone to manipulation. And speculators knows this game, that's why they have this ability to create such fake news in the market because they know it will drastically affect majority of investors, specially newbies. That's why they love to do it, so that they can buy a lot when the price is down.

Even after the bad news of the 7000 btc Binance hacked bitcoin went on a mini bull run. You just never know what will happen with crypto after hearing good or bad news. The typical advice is buy the rumor and sell the news but I wouldn't say that I agree with that.

Right, it's the age of social media, so everyone should be very wary of everything you read in the news or in the internet. If you can't independently verify it, then don't believed it simply as that.

But it's also worth to mentioned a verified and real news yesterday that Binance exchange was hacked, but it has no significant impact to the market. Although they have plans already, but if this is like 2017, these kind of news will have a bad net effect to the price. But it seems investors are getting smarter and not just taking every news as negative.

Against fake news you can do only one thing, check, recheck, recheck again. Don`t run to make some trades in some exchange just cause you saw some "news", whether they are good or bad, like to buy something and make very high profit, or to sell in panic. Don`t act right away, check that new information on several places, ask here on forum, post it on some social network and wait for some answers.

If you keep on looking at what these medias has to say you might end up being misled, cause a lot of them are fond of dropping news that are not accurate. One thing you need to always have in your mind is that Bitcoin is not a market that can easily be predicted, so if someone items telling that it is going to be at so and so price on a particular date, just know that they are a big liar cause that's not true. Any media that's posting is definitely lying cause it is never going to happen. That's how they claimed there will be a bull run in 2018, but at the end what happened?

I know they only do this for their own scope and ratting, well I personally never trust any news infect I search about it and I make market analysis on base of my own analysis I use to make decision, I know no one is my well wisher and no one is perfect rise and fall comes to every business I use to hold at bad and sell at good, but never trust any fake news.

I think even in strong form market efficiency, news will always give either positive or negative effects on any investment. But, what just happened yesterday, even pulled the price down, is that investors acted quickly to recover the price as soon as they knew that the news was just a FUD. This is what we need, a maturity.

Uuhm, the news you see online really has nothing to do with where the price of cryptocurrency is heading to. Most of the times you will be seeing positive news everywhere, but the price will still be dropping. Same thing with the price analysis you will be seeing, they will predict upwards but the price will be going downwards.

They can't really say where it is going, this is very risky, so you're just taking the risk on your own whenever you're investing, cause there's nobody to tell you where it is heading to exactly and that is how it is meant to be, only those that can have the patience will benefit from it.

Everyone who wish to stay away from scamming and FUD news should to learn a bit about the subject, it's like must have.

Funny that the people you have mentioned knows nothing about crypto currency. If you ask me I will say it's best to sign up for newsletter frok the biggest crypto blogs like coindesk, cointelegraph and ccn. When you receive their news you can compare them and know which one is telling the truth and you can also dig further into the web to know what is right . Twitter can also be a helpful place but not by following these poeple you have mentioned cause I don't think they know anything about crypto.

Did anyone notice the effect of Bitfinex and Tether news?

Yes, it did bring the price down, however, we have bounce back after that. An indication that we are really maturing and understand how bad or good news will affect the market. Investors didn't even move when the news of the NY AG and Bitfinex drama, as the price goes above $5K again. A good sign that we really evolved as well as speculators, and understand the we shouldn't be emotional and wait till everything settles down.
