Did anyone notice the effect of Bitfinex and Tether news?

Yes, it did bring the price down, however, we have bounce back after that. An indication that we are really maturing and understand how bad or good news will affect the market. Investors didn't even move when the news of the NY AG and Bitfinex drama, as the price goes above $5K again. A good sign that we really evolved as well as speculators, and understand the we shouldn't be emotional and wait till everything settles down.

But the cryptocurrency market is not always moving because of the news, and that is why we need to be careful to make an analysis.

Truth has been spoken, there must be an ultimate need in you to check every news you are reading when it comes to such volatile and still - full of evil people - subject like cryptocurrencies. I always say that the key is knowledge, and cold head, keeping your emotions tight, and let your research do the job for you.

Sometimes, the direction the price is moving has nothing to do with news or whatever.
The price can move to any direction even before anyone tries to figure what’s going to happen next. Just like what has happened this week, there was a short bull as the price moved from $3,900+ to $5,000+ (currently at $5,009). And no news site had this before it started. So anything can happen in the market before and have nothing to do with the news.

Market not always follow the news. Sometime the TA also play a part and more times if we see sudden big spike in the price of bitcoin or a sudden dump in the price, it is due to the whales. Crypto market is too much effected by the whales that sometime the FA and TA, cannot even predict the market.

Sometimes, the market adjusts the price without following the news, and we already saw the market can get up and down without any bad or good news. The whales itself is not always involved with the price and sometimes the whales only watching the price moving at the market, but once they enter to the market, the price could go higher or lower at any time. But the cryptocurrency market is not always moving because of the news, and that is why we need to be careful to make an analysis.

How to protect against fakes?

Basically do your own research.

If some tell that Elon Musk buys Ethereum, see on his public statements about it. Search on twitter (but make sure you didn't find fake accunts with that name), search on blogs, search on reputable news agencies.
If somebody tells that certain bank or institution plans certain service, check that bank's pages, social media or even ask their support.
..Something like this.

Especially if you want to invest based on certain news, you have spend some time and effort to make sure everything is all right.

That's right. To be on the top of latest news you should to follow many powerful people from the industry on Twitter, such as Musk or Buffet. Add to that try to think your own head and calculate for possible event in crypto world. Everyone who wish to stay away from scamming and FUD news should to learn a bit about the subject, it's like must have.

I really second your idea, why would you believe what others say and won't do your own work or research? Any good investor thinks twice and research before investing into any  project.

There is no grantee that a good news will pump the price. Sometimes, the good news has no effect, if just depends upon the market conditions. You can check QKC for instance. QKC has a mainnet to be scheduled on 30th April, but everyday its price is getting lower and lower. While other coins on mainnet news pump too high like Theta etc.
That's also an indication that whales are trying to dumped just to get more before the pumped will happen,  there's always a reason why things is happening bad news and good news always bring something inside the market you need to assess well and make a good decision making in order to protect your assets.

Again, we really need to dissect and read between the lines.

We don't just read the news and believed everything written is true. That's why we need not react negatively or positively, at least used our common sense before making decisions, like selling our stash or buying more to make our wallet fat. We all know that this market is base on speculation so just be careful and not making a decision just because you read something online.

Yeah, I agree with you because the price can go to any price and I think it will depend on the traders and the market situations. If many traders want to buy bitcoin, then it will affect the price, and the price will move to some level price. That will happen too if the traders want to sell bitcoin. But that situations will not have the same as we know that some people can hold the price not to increase or decrease too far, so the price still moving.
That is the real world of crypto, we never hold the price which we would like to be as it varies through the buying and selling scheme in the market. Changes may occurs every often and can't see any continuously flow either to go up or down. In mostly cases, dumping scenario will be the results of panic selling and it contributed a lot to the market prices.

Every good news has a positive impact in crypto especially to investors because it will give us hope and expectations that somehow it can affect the price of our assets.

Don't believe with every news that you see on news articles.

Some reports are too good to be true or just hyping a specific coin else, cater more valid info and verify if the news you have seen is true and real.
Unfortunately you're right, before believing in the good news circulating around the net make sure to verify if its reliable and genuine. Just like what you have said, sometimes there's a hidden purpose why they have to spread such lies.
Yes sometimes bad people in market use to do this, they make bad news so that people will trust and sell their coin for bad price or for panic so in this matter try to be positive do positive and never trust those who want to take advantage of you unawareness just let them be and try to focus on your goal without any problem.

The main reason of this is that there are many newbie in this industry who do not have knowledge and they are here to make good quick profit. Whenever they see good or bad news, they get emotional and buy/sell the coins. Whales take advantage of this and always spread the news in their favor.
There are so many people who come only to take the advantage from new people who are not well aware of the market movement and they get scammed at the end, if we want to spread positive we will have to follow only positive news and never be in favor of the sellers who sell at panic, make your own plan and hold with patience.

Friends, the news background on the crypto market has been very active lately, and in a rather positive way, but not every good news is true. How does this affect your investments and strategy on the market? How to protect against fakes?
it depends on yourself, look in detail, and be vigilant about fraud, forgery that they do that you should not invest, so you do that, look in detail, clear and precise, about the news about investment, my advice is not lust so can harm yourself
Yep. And it's not good to trust any source. I have learnt not to trust them, cause no matter how good the source might or how popular it is, there is still every possibility that they can post a fake news. They can be paid to upload a fake news to their site and they will do just that. You don't really need to question them because what they are doing is business and there is nothing you can do. That's why sites like Cointelegraph will always give you warning to know that some articles in the site are based on the authors point of view and you shouldn't blame Cointelegraph.com in the case something happens.

There is really nothing you can do about all the fake news that you will see on the internet. The best thing you can do for yourself is to be careful and choose the things you believe are true and leave those ones that are fake. And read news from a lot of sources, that way you will be able to tell if they are saying the truth or not. But if you think there is a way to stop fake news from going online, then you will be wasting your time.
Honestly, it's not easy to ignore the fake news, especially when you're in trouble with the downing price and simultaneously the fake or bad news are spread over time. You will be more likely to become frustrated if this time lasts for a period of time, and then easily you may  believe in these bad news. Therefore, it depends much on yourself guy, you'd better prepare yourself with a good knowledge foremost, plus build up a stable emotion in order that you can avoid some negative things in fake news.
I know it is not easy but for our own betterment we will have to ignore them, why people trust anyone else when they have better option of making own research there are thousands of site which can give proper Geneon and authentic information about the market, so don’t trust anyone just try to be positive and think positive  and trust positive news only.

The Cryptocurrency market is one that is more controlled by speculation.
News whether fake or genuine control price to a large extent in Cryptocurrency .
The fake news either get the price of a coin pumping or tanking.
The best way to not fall victim is to do proper findings .
Not the news but the people who are spreading this kind of news, people who want to take the advantage of unawareness of investors use to spread bad news and some silly people get trapped and sell their coin, so try not to be one of them and bring positivity in market, don’t tell lie and don’t be fake just focus on your own profit.

He is not telling a lie, he is right, big whales are doing it for price control wise. Big holder create the news for downing price and then they buy it in a low price, and when they achieve they target then again they create the news and in this wise they are earning a huge profit from bitcoin. For example JP Morgan has earned profit behalf of these type of news.
I think whales takes our advantage because we give them chance to make us fool, there are millions of people who are there in crypto market and not everyone is honest as some are scammers, some are whales for market, so you only have to be honest, active and been good investor don’t listen any bad news but make analyze the market and then take step.

Absolutely, we don't need to go with news only we should analyze the market by own. Also our people are very honest or may be fool that's why big investors carry this chance and create the news, also you see mostly videos on YouTube are working whom give us predictions about crypto currency and a huge people trust them. In this wise another environment make and we are involved it.

In short, they are weak people who had the weak hand that all they want is quick profit they did not understand how bitcoin it works by the blockchain technology. Whales always looking an opportunity to find loopholes and they think that FUD news is easy to manipulate and newbies are relying on this. Wall barrier between us a holder and whale will not long last, soon they will get tired.

That is already a given fact.

And that is why you really need to understand and get to the official source of every news. Don't trust crypto media outlets they are full of garbage and everything was posted in a rush or at least it looks like a grade school did the whole story.

You can check the official blog of the exchanges, or their twitter accounts to see what's really going on from behind and not to trust anyone because most of them are just for click bait and worst to create FUD around.
