I couldn't watch this match and only see the final score, to be honest I was quite disappointed with the result even though I realized that Uber Indonesia was the underdogs team but the defeat still hurts.

As Panjul07 has said, the regeneration in the women's single is not going well and strangely it has been running even decades after Susi Susanti retired, there is still no change in regeneration.

Actually, it's not only stamina and strategy but also mentality, if look at last single match in second set Ester seems to have lost motivation, her mentality not strong enough to bear the pressure because of the defeat in the first set and become the last hope for Indonesia to win.

The regeneration process for the Women Single in Indonesia is not working well.
There is no Indonesian single women who have great skills and stamina as what is used to be shown by one of Indonesian Single Women Legend "Susi Susanti".
I believe there are so many talented players in Indonesia but I have no idea why the Indonesian Badminton federation (PBSI) is not able to find and train the young talented players.

Yea, if it's women's singles, no one has matched the legend of "Susi Susanti" but Indonesia has other heroes that have existed even though they don't match "Susi Susanti", such as Mia Audina, Maria Kristin Yulianti, Fitriani and Gregoria Mariska Tunjung. the legend himself did not immediately become great at first, even Indonesia did not become a favorite in badminton before Susi Susanti won it.

Aside from the internal problems, player's consistency is also another problem.
Our players can show great performance in a match but they show very bad performance in the next mactch or vice versa.
We will not be disappointed as long as we do not have too high expectation, we should appreciate them whatever the result as I believe most players will always try their best for their country.

Even when I saw the line-up for the match against Japan a few days ago, I thought about whether they deliberately wanted to lose the match.
Uber athletes who competed against Japan yesterday in fact they are new players and indeed in terms of ranking they lost far from Japan.

That's true, it's a shame even though Indonesian badminton players have very good abilities because of internal problems within the federation so that Indonesian badminton seems to just walk in place without progress.
I see this year still with the same dominance as before without any significant changes, China and Japan will be great competitors to win the championship in both the Thomas and Uber cup.

Team Uber Thailand should not be underestimated, they have progressed very fast and they just beat India by a landslide score.
I hope there will be a surprise this year for the new champion, it's boring to see only China and Japan competing for the trophy.
maybe Uber will be won by Thailand and Thomas will be won by Indonesia. hopefully so Grin

I had no idea there was a badminton thread here, and kind of surprised that there is a professional /global league. That being said, I absolutely love this game. In high school we used to play badminton for about a month, every day. We would first play games for fun, then held a tournament and the winner would then face out teacher lol. Unfortunately no one has ever beaten him lol.

Thomas cup, Indonesia on A group has been pass to the next round. Korea and Denmark on B group also have been to the next round.
On C group China and India are available for the next round. D group still waiting for the end of the round.

Uber cup, Japan and Indonesia on A group have been to pass to the next round, Thailand and India on B group also have been to the next round.
On C group Korea and Taiwan are available for the next round. on D group China and Denmark also Pass to the next round.

Seems not much different with the Sudirman Cup.

Looking at the list of groups where the Thomas and Uber Indonesia teams are, they shouldn't have any trouble advancing to the next round.
For Uber, the toughest opponent is Japan, while for Thomas, China Taipei and Thailand it might be difficult, but with 2 Indonesian men's doubles, which are still the best in the world, they should be able to give points.
I really hope that the current Indonesian Uber team can give surprises.

China is very strong in Sudirman Cup final, it can even be said that in all the trophies they have always achieved good results, Japan must have hoped to get a point from Momota but unfortunately he lost.

China just won another Sudirman cup by beating Japan with 3-1 in the final. Most surprising result for me, was in the Men's single with the loss of world number 1 Momota against Shi Yu Qi.
