If you convert their site in chinese the New giant don't appear, the cube is in stock the quad is in stock....

With this price Baikal says to all non chinese people......  We dont want to sell in the world! Don't send mail Don't ask quotation all day!!!!

Bye!!!

Huh, that is very interesting. The products with the low $ / MHash are Chinese only, and the new lower value is non-China only. Pretty scummy...

Yeah, the profitability of the CUBEs is already very low if you don't have free electricity. Very likely the GIANT+ will never ROI.

I guess you can always start mining some smaller coins and hope they blow up if you feel like gambling...

Yeah, the catch is it takes 3 giant+'s at 2K each = 6,000 usd to mine 1/2 of what they are charging for the Ibelink 10gh version. (Sold out)

On the other hand, you pay almost 2x as much on the above Baikal 2000 to get the equivalent  hash rate for 6,000 usd. So that deal sucks.

This may not really matter if you are outside of China, it seems on ordering any of these products.......

On the other hand, having tried to get Baikal miners and at least tried the same on Ibelink....it is impossible if you are in the USA

(using 100mh Univ bandwidth) to get either it seems.....completely and utterly locked out of the ibelink site due to load....so no joy. Sad

So hell, unless I find someone running a data hall in China on bitcointalk here...ain't gonna get any more X11 miners, no matter what it seems.

Not at least at the current methods that they push units out. NO JOY for such in the USA it seems...likey same for Europe as well.

I also can see the Baikal units going to x13 and x15...when Ibelink slams them on x11 difficulty pump, .however I was told it was a fairly easy firmware fix..so I would guess Ibelink units in a month or so will be able to do x13 and x15 protocols as well..thus with difficulty rise on x11 .and then x13 and x15....my Baikal (it did roi) 300mh cube shall be 'paperweight'.  A cute paperweight ......but a paperweight none the less Sad

If you can never get the product due circumstances out of your control (bandwidth and wrong time zone as an example) ..no use crying

over 'spilled asic machines' ....just gonna have to move on Sad

I guess one of the good things about the CUBEs (and from the looks of it the GIANT+ as well) is they were very suited for home mining.

The Ibelink looks like it has what, 6, 7 small fans? That thing is going to sound like a jet engine...

No chance I will spend 7k for a 2gh miner.  The iBelink is far more efficient, much higher hash rate for less money.  Baikal has missed the mark completely here.
baikal is too expensive , but ibelink could be vaporware as well
risk on both is about the same imo

id rather buy and l3

Well that happened before. ibelink was playing nice by releasing first batch asic in slow pace to allow its customer to roi. but baikal came and flooded the market, all the noobs that were buying their overpriced gear recently are going to get rude shock when difficulty goes 3x by end of august. its payback time i hope ibelink buries baikal for good.

It's a crazy price!

Talked to a buddy of mine, who loves to program chips. He said that if he had the time, we could probably replicate what they did with the cube and have it made for about 80 dollars pr machine. Too bad I don't have the money to hire him a few months Tongue

I knew I should have focused on something else than marketing when studying. He is an engineer who designs the chips in hearing aids.

7000 dollars for a machine like that  - it seems like they want us to pay for their own mining operation.

Baikal miners are ready to use. But there is no place I can buy Baikalminer. Is there anyone who can sell Baikalminer? I can give more money.

Why not go to the official website?

http://www.baikalminer.com/product06.php

Miners on sale there, and at this price I doubt they will sell out soon...

Hi, Baikal miner is good miner and work fine, but the problem is that they have increased the price for Mhs at every product they have released: Mini was at $2.00/Mhs Giant+ is $3.50/Mhs but they use the same ASIC chip ad architectures.
I love Baikal miner, but ROI at $3.50/Mhs is at 8 months at actual DIFF  and for $7000 + shipping and customs fee is more longer, so the miner lost every appeals.

I must agree, I have made  calculations and for this price baikal is useless

Looking at the pictures... it looks like they slapped together 8 CUBES and underclocked them a bit.

8 x $800, add some premium for additional engineering required, done, $7k.

EDIT: I agree, price is much too high, especially considering how much profitability for the CUBEs tanked recently. On Nicehash I am now getting half of what I got two weeks ago.

Finally available from the source at $7k: http://www.baikalminer.com/product06.php

I might consider it at a little less than half that price but no way I am even vaguely interested at 7k.

Man, wish they would of restock the quad cubes. 2 Quad cubes = higher hash rate and cheaper price.

Edit: Quad cubes are ALOTTTT quieter too.
