Are you sure you can't even view your sent messages once banned? Not sure that's true, but they were the standard hey x i've replied to you here etc.

Yes, I am sure.

I will try sending an email anyways.

You don't understand the question, hilariousandco is saying that you can view the list of sent messages even if you are banned. He is not talking about sending a message to anyone on the forum. Obviously, you are unlikely to be able to do that.

I think he actually can't. As seen on his screenshot, the "Outbox" is being highlighted instead of "New Message", that's him clicking and accessing the outbox page, and meet the error message.

I am intrigued by the possibility of your account being hacked. The forum is recently under "attack" of hacker silently co-living with the real owner, where they didn't hold it for ransom or change the credentials so the owner can't access it, they move under the radar by not touching anything and execute their action. One of the recent case is asking for a loan.

If you claimed that you never send a PM yet your account got banned for phishing PM... can you check your IP log as per Despairo suggested? Through https://bitcointalk.org/myips.php?

Check your outbox. It seems you sent several phishing PMs.

Check your outbox. It seems you sent several phishing PMs.

Thanks for clarifying

But, I am unable to see my sent messages ( outbox ) as it shows an error message with "You are not allowed to send personal messages"  as I am banned. I didn't bother to check my outbox from around a year as I have not sent PMs to anyone here from long time if I can recall correctly.

If this is a case of my account getting hacked and the hacker trying to send phishing PMs from my account to get it banned, what could be the best way to resolve this quickly ? I can sign a message from my known address here if that could help.

Also, can I request to see the phishing PMs the hacker was trying to send from my account, it seems to have added more curiosity around this for me.

... and you have no right to question for your ban.
Are you trying to turn here to a court?
I am surprised that you are a senior member and yet you don't know how things happen here.
If there's room for appeal, it therefore means there's room to question. Here, freedom of speech is key.

Then prove it.

Check your email where you use in your account.

You can also check your IP address whether there's an unknown IP away from your country https://bitcointalk.org/myips.php

Also if you didn't limit your IP retention, this will help them to know if you're really got hacked or not.

Quote
Limit IP retention:
Reduce the retention of your future logged IP addresses. This will make it far more difficult to recover your account if it is ever stolen; make sure that your email address is correct and that you have staked a public key.

On your banned account page, you will see a red display that shows the notification for being banned and the possible reason, you may then appeal for the ban by sending a message to the email displayed on that ban message or create a thread here for the appeal, permanent ban have a small chances of getting unbanned and you have no right to question for your ban.
It depends on the violations he made once it's serious then there's a chance that it will not be unbanned but once  he violates not just serious then there's a chance that he will get unbanned. Anyways if the moderators banned his account then one thing for sure he violates the rules of the forums.  But Evey new year some moderators give chances to the banned users  to be unbanned and use their account once again in this community. So meaning you have a chance to be unbanned.

when were the phishing PMs reported?

@OP, just curious, can you access your account? I checked bpip.org(https://bpip.org/Profile?p=hacker1001101001) and it looks like the password was changed on December 26 via email and then on December 27 the account looks like it was banned.

The first was December 27th and then two more on the 29th.

Please note that the possible reason for the ban has already been voiced by the global moderator, read his post just above. And what kind of nonsense are you writing? Any user on the forum has the right to ask questions about his ban, as well as to challenge his ban.

if this is for some years old post than cheers to mods]
If this is some years old but that caused the ban then I think the mod mistakenly banned you. He must be unaware that you already served or still serving a 2 years signature ban for the offense. Let's not fell bad but wait for a response from the person who applied the ban to the account.

I remember seeing you in the forum. You were someone who like to express their own opinions without minding others influence.

Thanks for reading through the feedbacks and making an opinion.
I didn't. Like I said, I don't care. Your drama is your drama, not mine. I am only stating the obvious and commenting on the amount of red paint on your profile. I am not going to analyze the reasons for the said red paint.

Although, the reason for the permanent ban now being my old posts is not a valid way to justify this ban. I have already served a signature ban for it if you missed it.
As I said and asked previously, your signature ban could have been the result of a few cases of plagarism. Your permanent ban later could be the result of many new instances of plagiarizing that weren't originally looked at when issuing the signature ban. A reply from admins or Global Mods will clear things up if it comes to that.

Your ban appeal years ago in 2019

It shows you was banned because of plagiarism but you also got a second chance after that. It's strange if you got another ban because of your past plagiarism with a factor of less strict handle against plagiarism in last two or three years.

Second chances are new chances from Cyrus in 2023 but you can wait for global moderator answer in this your ban appeal first.

Was your 2 years signature ban issued for plagiarism? I remember there was a lot of drama around your name several years ago, but I never cared to check why and get involved. Based on your feedback, you were far from a popular character. If admins found one or two cases of plagiarism, (I am saying if), could they have also found 10 or 20 after a more thorough check? That would then explain the permanent ban.
