Yeah.. exchange still down. Anyone know anything about scifi-ex.com?

I was in the exchange when the Dev was shutting it down. Something wrong with BTC Withdraws. I did one right before it was shut down. Needs to be getting back online! It sucks that that Half a Bitcoin Order is their for1. Hell I will take it before this thing is Zero!

good to know.
I logged in from my phone this morning and saw all my coins turned into negative.
I wasn't sure if this was a bug with the exchange or with the mobile browser.
The downtime probably answers the question

There's only 28185 blocks currently, because of the old fork story. This means that there's a little more than 1.7 billion coin already mined, not counting the 2.4 billion premined.
So how could there be 1.1 billion coin traded in ~1 hour for 2 satoshi in the last hour on sci-fi ? That's ~64% of all the coin mined !
I'm pretty sure it was someone (or a group) who bought all the sell order stacked there, because I highly doubt there were a 20 BTC buy order at 2 satoshi.

So the most logical reason is that someone is planning a big pump on this coin, and try to make it go on a better exchange.

Edit : 30mn after, it's still happening. Sell orders for 20 to 50 millions are popping and instantly bought at 2 satoshi. We're now at a volume of 1,472,340,625 on sci-fi, or more than 85% of the mined coin.
Something's amiss. Even for a master pumper this cannot succeed when one guy has 85% of all the coins. That's way too obvious.

One possibility is in anticipation of a pump in 1 month or 2, when 30k or 60k more BAT will be mined by then.

Edit 2 : now volume is 1,583,972,625. I'll start to think some of it is from the premine.
.Batman. ?

Edit 3 : 1,884,973,955 ... Ok either there's a big bug on sci-fi and this numbers are false, or something is happening with the premine. There's no other logical explanation.

Edit 4 : (2,117,973,957) There's two other possible explanations (not logical) :
1) Someone is buying what he's selling, constantly, with something like 300 million BAT, giving a lot of fee to sci-fi. That's totally stupid, but that's still possible.
It could be a way to artificially create volume without risk, and attract another real exchange. Why not ?
2) Same thing, buying to himself, but the goal would be to make some guys panic buy at 2 or 3 satoshi to dump on them a huge quantity which would have taken 1 month with the current daily volume. But it's very unlikely, obviously nobody with this buying power is on sci-fi at the moment.

Its obviously someone recycling bats. buying and selling to himself. but why so much fee to scifiex ? :O :O
why else would he stay on 2 satoshi when he can easily sell for the 1 orders or buy the 3-100000 orders with the money he wasted on fees?

I dont know....300m sounds like a lot even for a crazy fan (crazy enough to recycle coins like that). I own over 120m bat that I bought for next to nothing! 56m I bought today the rest I bought earlier.
think about it...if you buy at 1 satoshi and inject your sell orders to that cycler that bumped the volume today you can get your coins bought at 2 and double the fcking btc.
I did the same thing with pennies. waited for months untill one day it jumbed to 3satoshi and I made my X2.

Is there any way to find out who was the 200-400mhs solo monster that lurked the network on the past 2 weeks?

Batman any comments on the premine?

on the premine:
500M was lost after the fork, deleted with a wallet and lost forever
500M was given away with bounites, giveaways, services and fees
1.4B left as for now

net hash is 11.72 mh
pool hash is 8.88 mh
and pool is solving almost 20% of generated blocks
it seems the pool is stealing the hashpower

Very happy to announce several fixes that we did with Scifi-ex.com tonight.

1. We finally got rid of scientific notation.
2. The rounding error on withdrawals should not resurface again.
3. We have a dedicated history tab, where we have past trades, past withdrawals, and past deposits.
4. Stats on the sidebar shows the last trade, not the last action.
5. 'Trade' tab shows much more meaningful stats.
6. Flap  Grin

Limited public APIs coming next. I was quite close, but decided not to rush things considering I'd probably change the API in the future.  Thanks MobGod for the API feedback, and I did have a short conversation with the Cryptofolio person. I have some idea of what APIs to implement first.

nice update Smiley
hope the volume up there blasts to the stars

sub-satoshi orders are now blocked.
