That's strange - my wallet has been working fine, fast confirmations while receiving transactions almost daily...

Try to clear & download the blockchain again:
Backup your wallet.dat file (recommended on a usb-flash drive)
Goto C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application data\BATA\
Delete "blocks" "chainstate" and "database" directories

Open wallet and re-sync from block 0 or use http://crypt.midnightminer.net/bootstraps/bata/bootstrap.zip

Now that the trolls have expended the majority of their brainpower, I'd just like to thank them in advance for causing some panic selling as I've managed to acquire cheap coins as a result. Some of us know bata is due a substantial price increase soon. Maybe then, they can go back to the job centre and try to find work (slim chance), or they'll probably just carry on and eventually wonder why they never amounted to much. Cool
