I ❤ the bitcoin community

I love Bytecoin and I have never had any problems with the system.

I am running a busy BCN faucet and I mine the coin at eobot.

Hi everyone.

It's been a while since my last visit here, as well as since the last Bytecoin update, so I do understand that now there are many questions regarding the proper functioning of our software and our overall plans for the future.

I'd like to assure everyone that we have been working hard lately on the upcoming release, which will fix the most of the known issues.

Both the release and the updated roadmap are planned to be out this month.

Also, I highly encourage everyone to use https://bytecointalk.org/ to ask their questions and report issues, since we hardly support this thread.

You can also contact us via support(at)bytecoin.org at any time.

Cheers!

you probably should change your captcha system, i can't register to your forum, because i failed to fill the captcha.

Problems:

- Transactions over 10,000 BCN does not accept... In many cases even those from 2,000 BCN. I also tried to set the fee at 1,000 BCN on a transaction of 20,000 BCN but nothing changes!

I had no problems with the wallet (may be yet). Have you tried to reset and resync your wallet? I know it's kinda strange but sometimes it solves a problem...

Quote
Each time I enter a transaction, a large part of the balance is moved to the "Locked Amount" and is no longer available for several hours.

The wallet picks random outputs until it gets enough money to send transaction. It doesn't mean it picks as less as possible amount, the difference between needed amount and amount of picked outputs moved to locked amount (this is your change).

I hope the developers will fix these problems soon...

Unfortunately I am stunned and I almost lost my temper...

Besides all the problems listed above, the same thing happened to me as well, all transactions sent over the last 2 days have not arrived at Poloniex.

Gentlemen, your BCN  wallet has very serious problems to be solved. I am aware that it's running on my second PC that is quite dated and with only 2 GB of ram ... but considering it on the same PC I have running several other wallets that have no running problem... I'm very puzzled... If you want to push and evaluate a coin the first thing to do is implement a wallet that works well!!!

Problems:

- Transactions over 10,000 BCN does not accept... In many cases even those from 2,000 BCN. I also tried to set the fee at 1,000 BCN on a transaction of 20,000 BCN but nothing changes!

- Each time I enter a transaction, a large part of the balance is moved to the "Locked Amount" and is no longer available for several hours.

- Transactions require only 6 confirmations (if I remember correctly) but employ 3/8 hours before being processed... If processed correctly!

- The portfolio, today (after that in this days I made the first transactions) took 2/3 hours to open. Of which 2 times as crashed.

- The synchronization, with 8 nodes, is very very slow.

- Other minor problems that don't list.

Ultimately... after shortly times that mine this coin I'm exhausted... I am very sorry to say this, because I rate with good potential... but if dev don't solve the problems of the wallet, abandon everything and continue with other altcoin less stressful.

This is my very first time to send some coins from wallet to exchange....I see "Status 38/confirmed" but I can't see my coin on Poloniex.  How much confirmations they need?

Isn't there some sort of fusion transaction feature in the Bytecoin GUI that is supposed to combine those sorts of small amounts together without a fee (which would then make them easier to spend)?

I'm not familiar with it since I've never used it but I did see that discussed in the release announcements.

Thanks @smooth

I ask directly on the official forum

I have serious problems with the wallet Bytecoin 1.0.9

I wanted to send 120,000 BCN at Poloniex >>> does not send: Transaction is too big

I try with 100,000 BCN >>> does not send: Transaction is too big

I try with 50,000 BCN >>> does not send: Transaction is too big

I try with 20,000 BCN >>> does not send: Transaction is too big

I try with 10,000 BCN >>> ok, sent

but after doing this: 60.156 BCN ended up in "Locked Amount" and are no longer available...

On this portfolio I received:

- 1x transaction from 75,893 BCN
- 1x transaction from 27,756 BCN
- 1x transaction from 10,350 BCN
- a variety of transactions ranging between 20 and 200 BCN received from faucet (approximately 8,000 BCN)

In general the portfolio, though slow synching, takes a long time to open (up to 30 minutes) and when I close the window for saving data and get stuck. I have to force it to close through the process manager.

Please, help me

EDIT: I tried to send other 10,000 BCN >>> transaction is too big

We'r glad to announce we've established a deal with a service provider which is capable of making physical objects for XMN only.

...you can make your custom order on any object depending on availability. ( Available for your favorite coins/logo too)

Extending to BCN!

Nice work with wallet mining. Can you add gpu cryptonote miner?

I think Wolf0 opensource miner is the best candidate now if a gpu miner is to be integrated.

Nice work by Wolf0. It sounds like his open source miner is reasonably competitive with the closed source Claymore miner now.

Yes. Thanks for pointing that out.

So the update is fully on RPC Wallet API?

Yes, except for some minor changes in Bytecoin GUI Wallet

How stable is the current version?

This is the final version of the API. We are not planning to change anything.

Is it backward compatible?

Yes, Payment IDs are still supported.

2. What are you up to now? When is the next large update?
3. You didn't update the roadmap and v.1.0.9 doesn't correspond with the actual release. When is it going to be updated?

There is indeed a discrepancy in the current 1.0.9 version. We are now working on the 2016 roadmap, which will include all promised features. Moreover, the features under the section "various work in progress" will be also a part of the updated 2016 roadmap.

The updated 2016 roadmap will be published before Christmas.

Also, can you elaborate on what happened to transactions list tab?
The transactions are now expandable... but why? Some of my previous transactions have weird small transfers inside.

From now on transactions are classified differently. Previously, if you created a transaction to be sent to 10 different addresses, you would've seen 10 transactions in the list. But if you create such transaction in 1.0.9, you will see one transaction with 10 transfers inside.

Everybody should see Bytecoin for it's purpose and not only as a "trader"/miner.
