This is what I worked out, and I'll post it elsewhere, so I made it formal.

It was announced a a couple of weeks or so ago that  some modest changes to BDSM and Fetish would be made. The reason was due to requests from people that liked the coins, and felt that they should have a longer mining shelf life.

Given their support I feel I should respect their positions and make some small modifications. Some concerns were (1) to avoid altering the coin counts; and (2) avoid punishing any group for selling or buying at specific points in time.

Nonetheless, and given the changes in the altcoin scene over the last year, I think the coins' supporters were correct to ask for a rethink. I hope these new specs will be welcomed or at least not disagreed with.

It was decided that the coins started with a specific aim, and that it would be disrespectful to people to change things drastically, so the alterations made become operative at the latter stages of the coins' blocks

The alterations to both coins are exactly the same. BDSM has 10 times the total coin count of Fetish, and will run for the same amount of blocks. In an ideal world, BDSM would cost 10-times less per coin than Fetish costs. Fetish seems to outperform its pervy brother), however, but I suspect that is not always going to be the case.

Anyway, we started our sexy journey with these specs:

BDSM

6.9 million coins
400,000 blocks
Reward 23 BDSM
1 minute average blocks
Reward from 200,000 blocks 11.5 BDSM
11.5 BDSM was the minimum reward
Maximum block count of 400,000

Fetish

690,000 thousand coins
400,000 blocks
Reward 2.3 FETISH
1 minute average blocks
Reward from 200,000 blocks 1.15 FETISH
1.15 FETISH was the minimum reward
Maximum block count of 400,000

 

Then it was to be over, and down to adult industry to take these on (have you seen @BDSM_Fetish followers?!! lol).

So an easy change was made. Block targets, times, coin count, difficulty were left untouched.

Instead of the reward system being the same from 200,000 to 400,000, I was decided a fair solution would be to alter rewards from 300,000 again (140,000 blocks from now). There will be no halving. A set of reduced rewards for blocks that range after block 300,000 have been set. Nonetheless, within that range there are 10,000 consecutive blocks that pay the initial reward of 23 and 2.3. These give people a good chance to compete for high rewards again.

In essence, the former last 100,000 blocks get a change.

These are the specs. I hope people approve, or do not disapprove.


BDSM Specs

6.9 million coins
1 minute average per block
Retarget every 2 blocks

Rewards

0            – 200,000 = 23   (4,600,000)
200,001 – 300,000 = 11.5 (5,750,000)
300,001 – 400,000 = 5      (6,250,000)
400,001 – 500,000 = 3      (6,550,000)
500,001 – 510,000 = 23    (6,780,000)
510,001 – 630,000 = 1      (6,900,000)

The last 700,000 of the 6.9 million BDSM play by the new rules. This might not seem much, but the staggered coin count deceases from 11.5 (original minimum reward) to 5, 3 and 1. To counter that, there is the chance to mine at the original reward for 10,000 blocks at about 500,000. The real delay is after that point. There will be just 120,000 BDSM left and these will be mined over 120,000 blocks.

The same applies for Fetish, except everything is reduced by 10 to match 690 thousand coin cap.


Fetish Specs

690,000 coins (690 thousand)
1 minute average per block
Retarget every 2 blocks

Rewards

0            – 200,000 = 2.3   (460,000)
200,001 – 300,000 = 1.15  (575,000)
300,001 – 400,000 = 0.5    (625,000)
400,001 – 500,000 = 0.3    (655,000)
500,001 – 510,000 = 2.3    (678,000)
510,001 – 630,000 = 0.1    (690,000)

After the bounty blocks, mining will no doubt be reduced which extends the life of the mining period. As an added bonus, you will never have to have a new wallet that takes numerous hours to synch.

I mined theses early on, and i think they have huge scope for good things, I would like to see more publicity to get more miners interested, more info on development would help attract more interest .
