I will say they don’t only do this on telegram but on other social media such as Facebook, Instagram etc  they will tell you they are into investment and when you invest you will get like 30 percent of what you invested and you end up getting scammed. In conclusion people should be careful on how and where they invest their money there are scammers everywhere.

Telegram fraud is one of the most popular fraud now our days. You can just be browsing a site an ad will just pop up, if u mistakenly click u will be redirected or something like follow my telegram page, if you just follow, immediately a call will come asking to update your phone number or mail,  once u just did that, your account will be done

Unfortunately such scams are very popular these days. They all follow the same pattern. The system is designed to prey on people that don't have sufficient information about bitcoin or trading. I opened a discussed before now if there are still legit crypto groups/channels in telegram. Almost everyone is trying to rip you off. Bitcointalk forum is my safe haven.

My friend encountered a scammer when someone chatted him in Telegram to help the stranger to withdraw his bitcoin and then he will pay my friend for $200. But my friend is not that dumb to fall for that because he really read a lot of information towards that kind of circumstances here in this forum. The stranger said that in order to withdraw his bitcoin, my friend should send $100 so that he can process now the transaction which is really sketchy from the very beginning. No one will fall for that scam nowadays because most of the users right now are well-informed.

Typical scamming technique. But if you are really new in this field, the offer seems like too-good-to-be-true, the reason why there are still individuals that fall on this kind of trap. I hope many users will educate themselves of these scamming strategies. We can't stop the scammers but we can avoid these scammers.

Well, what do you expect now that Bitcoin becomes a thing again. Upon the increased value of Bitcoin it captives a lot of newbies who want to enter the trend and scammers will take this opportunity to gain from them. I heard a lot of stories regard this and it was definitely absurd that is why before entering into something you are not familiarized with it is recommended to make your own research first because ignorance was not an excuse. Even in this forum, you should still be careful because we don't know what runs on people's minds. As much as possible trust it is better to trust yourself than others.
With the bullrun trend, of course beginners will enter into bitcoin investing, surely they will be tempted by the high prices I saw before, it's the same as that so of course there will be many victims and scammers will take advantage of the tricks they run.
We see now that various scams have occurred, including the DeFi trend, there are still many victims in it so research is very important and don't follow other people's words with the investment that is suggested that it is very risky for him and most importantly learn first before doing it.

Do you mind not using bold 50pt large font?
It's actually hurting the eyes and too much work to keep scrolling down.

All those cloud minings are scam. Do not step in those traps.
The way you are teaching us this is really admirable.  I used to make this kind of mistake before.  I thought it might be nice to see large text. But I didn't know it was kind of ridiculous and insulting. Your this types of effort encourages newcomers to stay on this forum and teaches them a lot.

I don't seriously understand why people in Telegram are still keeping to conceive or trick people who already have experience in the crypto space by inviting them to their Telegram Channel and sending them a DM because I still experience this kind of things in Telegram.
The answer is quite simple, they are spreading as many traps as they can to random people on telegram then awaiting some victims took the bait. So they don't even care if you an expert or a newbie in the space, the best thing to do in this kind of action is to ignore and report it.

Also not everyone are truly aware of this that's why they still deceive people even they are old timer, but I believe there are small numbers still lame to believe this schemes since many are truly aware about this.

So hard to believe that such people still exist. I think only lazy person did not speak how telegram is filled with different kind of scammers. Those who are crypto related already know that this is scam, those who just have telegram for chat and receive such offers probably wont go deep in what is crypto, how profitable it is to invest and why they should do it right now.

Strange how scammer choose their victims. I'm participating in bounties for few ages, been in numerous group, and never got a PM with offer to buy something or invest.

Many scammers are skilled to have negotiation to their targets and they can make their schemes believable that's why we can still see people got caught on telegram scams nowadays.

But try to send any question or help in telegram groups for sure the scammers will follow to send you a pm and pretend that they are part of the team which is there to help you, We need to be careful on this since will get into trouble if we let those scammer penetrate us.

GREED IS CURSE

Not only greed but also ignorance, ignorance how these scammers work, ignorance on how to look on a project, and ignorance about how Cryptocurrency works, we are in a decentralized community where the only one who can help you reach your goal is yourself, no one can do this for you, this is not a company where you can contact support and they will fix everything as long as you follow their rules.
The main rule here is to do your own research and educate yourself.

If someone offers you a large sum in the telegram, who of you will believe? How many of you are still children? Who hasn't listened to the saying that free cheese is only in a mousetrap?
The Internet did not appear yesterday, but there are still those who believe in strangers who can introduce themselves as anyone. As long as there are such naive people who believe that one day they will get a piece of gold, scammers will come up with different ways of deception.
It's all interconnected.
The telegram has a function to disable receiving messages from people who are not on the contact list.
Why don't use such a thing?
Otherwise, when receiving messages from an anonymous person, you can regularly take on the label of a sucker.

Telegram groups has the highest scammers ever, you can just receive some unaware DMs if you ask questions on a group especially if the group is a wallet group like atomic wallet, trust wallet, scammers pretends to answer your questions in one way or the other by luring you to fall into their trap impersonating admin with the same username, telegram is dangerous and must be careful with it, the best way to avoid this is by you DMing the admin first not admin DMing you.

Ohh, I remembered how one scammer tried to cheat me with saying he is a exchange representative. His telegram name looked identical like real group admin have, he had a profile picture same as admin. He said that my account was frozen due to investigation and I need to send Ethereum to an exchange address (his) to prove that address I made deposit belong to me. On one hand this might have some logic, but when he agree that I would send any amount (I sad I dont have funds anymore for transaction), it was clear it was a trap.

This is sometimes useful. Perhaps I do not understand something, but I would not believe this kind of Photoshop. Providing fake certificates just works for suckers.

Faceless is often shameless, and people are so used to accepting so called friends on social networks without giving it a second thought, that, alongside a touch of ingenuity, and a probable lack of experience in the field, the breeding ground is set for this kind of traps.

The eco of lambos and people getting wealthy still play their tune, and even if we here tend to see right through the intent in a few seconds, there are masses of people who are none the wiser on all the scam proceedings that take place. Dreadful learning curve ...

But as they all say, as long as bo one is a con-man if no one is a fool, that is why beginners or newbies should never let scammers fool them because of their greediness and ignorance.
How many time will it take you to press the report button and fill in a valid information to be followed up by telegram? I don't think it will take you much time to do this, as soon as you believe this is a scam attempt, ignore it and report it. This is the easiest attempt to avoid fraud in the crypto world. Don't easily trust people you don't know, and when it comes to investing, do your research and consider avoiding them.

The answer is easy. They are just waiting for a victim like the friend of OP to bite their bait and run away with their money. Scammers like this are blindly sending messages like this to anyone. I myself received some kind of message this past few weeks. Newbies who don't have enough knowledge would have a high chance to be baited with this trick. Having not enough knowledge about anything would make you feel it is limitless and that feeling will turn your greediness on.

Telegram is indeed one of the easiest way to scam people who want to make thousands of dollars overnight. When you respond to their first message and seem interested then they know you are one of the gullible greedy ones so they continue to scam you. You friend need to join this forum to learn how to avoid such scams.

Your friend also need to know in the street of crypto and internet, you can't trust anybody. I hope that wasn't his last penny and i hope he has learnt his lessons.

When it sound too good to be true 'Guaranteed double or triple gains' (It's a scam)
When you need to pay to be able to withdraw (It's a scam)
When they start the conversation with 'hello friend or hello sir' (It's a scam)
If they try so hard to show you documents and license to be able to take money from you (It's a scam)

Since I dowloaded Telegram in 2017 I get many scam messages from people. They see you in cryptocurrencies related groups and they send you DM. And also they add you to telegram groups and they keep spamming and scamming. What I do is time to time I leave these groups and block these guys. But again and again its happening.

Don't trust anybody who offers you something on Telegram. They are trying to hunt people. I don't warn people who is already in crypto for years but we have many newbies here. For their information.

This is the common problem with the people who would like to make an investment some of them easily caught with this kind of telegram users promoting or make a private message to a random people and if they catch up because the large return of investment still its better to make a research first before doing this kind of activity to prevent getting scam there is money involved if you not afraid to lose money go ahead try to risk but if you don't want better make sure first. Also, recommend to make a proper format or use default styles to prevent annoying to read.

Hello, I hope the links below could help you navigate and post in this community comfortably.
[1] Bitcointalk posting etiquette
[2] Make your topic title, posts more attractive
[3] Guideline on posting images (with size adjustments), hyperlinks

Also, there are lots of people in the telegram community who are approaching people asking if know and you wanted to join any bitcoin related invest that are too good to be true in first place. Schemes that offers x5 up to x100000000000... investment returns in a matter of few weeks are no doubt fraud. Note that cryptocurrency doesn't work that way.

I highly suggest to check out what @tranthidung said regarding telegram.

I guess OP does not know options to adjust size of images that are too large now so that the images and texts inside don't dominate the texts OP wrote. Hence, OP used large fonts for his own texts. Also, highlights with red, blue colors simultaneously with large fonts is bad practice.

Adjust the size with width=200 then OP will be able to normalize his text size. With the width size, you can combine up to 5 images in a single row.  Wink

You get scammed when you become either greedy or reckless in financial world. The same is applicable with cryptocurrencies. Most scams are found on platforms related to social media and a large chunk is available on Telegram.

On Telegram avoid talking to strangers, avoid joining airdrop, avoid joining trading signals, avoid free give aways and lucrative earning opportunity.

Follow all the above and also use common sense and you will be safe.

There is a lot of fraud circulating, and it's sad that people are happy getting money from others to feed their families with that money, what I can say is don't transact with personal messages coming from someone who you don't know, it's one of the rules that you should remember, especially that people need money they will do anything, mostly they say they were the head of the project or manager, the legit company will always say that they will not send you personal messages, so just be careful.

I have a lot of messages like that on telegram and even keep pushing. I already know that such a method is a scam. Don't just respond and block it. If your friend gets into the trap and deposits $ 350, is your friend that careless in hopes of making some quick cash? Don't expect fast money that easy.

LO everyone responds to your text which is too big, really annoying. You have to know which sections need large and small text.

Disregarding that big images (lol), your friend got trapped because of blindness.

I don't take being a newbie as a reason why it happened as there are other newbies out there that know how to deal with that spam advertisement. As someone with $350, it should be a common approach all ready to think twice before investing money.

Too good to be true. Hope your friend can move on easily and learned from that.

As for these scams, these are popular styles that sadly, a lot of newbies would still be a victim of. Earning cryptocurrencies is like how we earn in real life. There's no quick profits on it. If there is, that's likely a scam.

Don't trust on them whom you don't know.
Many are trapped in these fraudulent activities.
Let me explain in detail. My friend trapped.

First of all they send a message like this.

They will create greed in your heart and ask for money.
After 2 hours.

And now they will ask for fee.

After giving the fee they will block you.

One example is here.

He is showing the company license but he is not the owner

He gave the website address and ask for deposit.
And my friend deposited 350$ like picture is saying everything.

And now again they are asking for more money. Check the email.

And now withdraw is on pending

The purpose of sharing to safe all the newbies and the others. Always trust on yourself you can do anything if you have ability. So be careful.

GREED IS CURSE
