It doesn't matter if your going to buy Bitcoin before or after, what matter is you know how trading works it is, cause in trading you should always consider the price of each coins, and it's volume if it is moving or not. That's the most important things that you should consider before you purchase.

If you can hold more then go for it, Though lot's of promising coins are out for grabs out there. If you're for long term and hodl is the name of the game. Get bitcoin and litecoin as this two giant are already establish and will remain there for long. I think it is a good idea to invest in both bitcoin and altcoins since we are still in the early January. Bitcoin has so much potential and so does the altcoin too. Some altcoin such as Ripple,IOTA, ADA are even more cheaper and profitable than bitcoin at this time.

Purchasing of bitcoins and litecoin is always up to you. I think you already know the answer for your questions because these past few weeks, there's a dropping of value which is not that high compared last month of November year 2017. If I only have enough money, I will definitely buy bitcoin and hold it for a while because I believe that the value of btc will pump again.

Buying it before after hitting the New Years was not the question.

The real question could have been when is the right entry point into any coin that we want to have good trade with. The entry point is what matter a lot. The lowest prices at which you buy the coin matters a lot because we can afford the margin that is created later on in the market. This margin could be very huge if you are train since the lower rates.

The point here is not about the new year start or before that (would have been)but its all about choosing right coin, right entry point and value for its market capitalism.

But you have to remember that you should be buying when the price is low, meaning its going red so that you can get it at a discounted price. So in this case you should have been bitcoin when the price is around $12K-$13K. Because if you are thinking of booking it today, you may have lost your chances of having a good profit because bitcoin is again going up as we speak.

Yes, you are correct but the problem is that if the OP didn't buy it when the price is really low then his chances of really getting a huge profit is minimal, if he is thinking of entering the market today because the price is almost touching $17K. Happy though to see that bitcoin is again moving on a positive direction, after almost 3 weeks of being bearish.

That is what I said to many people but eveyone converted the bitcoin to cheap altcoins from the past 15 days but today again bitcoin shows its bullish run. So now the time for all the traders who need to convert the coin to bitcoin.
I was waiting for long time to see the bitcoin bump and holding all my coin with out converting it. With this bump alone I got more than 1000 USD profit this day alone.
