Hi,

My bela wallet displays: Host srv.belacoin.com not found

Does anyone have the address to fix this? In addition, is bela incorporating PoS soon? Thanks

That's a small error in the Windows wallet that doesn't affect it's functionality. It should be pointing to srv.belacoin.org, and we will fix that with the next Windows wallet upgrade release. We do not have plans to change Belacoin from PoW to PoS anytime soon.

Why not? Switch to POS and go carousing cheap domestic wine. It's nice to have people carrying out maintenance and performing simple tasks related to coin functionality. U do it in a weird and twisted way but that is ur right though there exist people that hate the way u handle things. It would take me around one day and a half to deliver the app of the same functionality.

In our slack at Belacoin.herokuapp.com, we have a few channels that are dedicated to Belacam. #Belacamupdates is where we can provide updates with our work, offer customer service, and answer general Belacam questions. #Recommend is for Belacam recommendations, and #bugs is for reporting any bugs you find.

I have been using the app since it launched and I am enjoying the experience
although it can be a little slow sometimes.

As we are using the beta test site I'm just wondering if there is a place
to make suggestions on possible improvements going forward?

The mobile app is expected to come this summer, although we are focused on perfecting the current site now. Once we have that done, we will have a better estimate for the mobile Belacam app.

We do have guidelines for what photos we will and will not allow. At the moment, until we can better deal with explicit photos, they are not allowed on the site. Photos that you do not own the rights to are not allowed either. This is in your best interest because you are liable if you post someone else's photo and get money from it.

Explicit photos are against our terms of service, and those accounts are deleted when we catch them. For now, please use the 'report' feature. We have an algorithm in place that will autodelete the photo if it gets enough reports under the right circumstances. Users who post explicit pictures cannot claim the Belacoin that their posts have earned after we delete their accounts, and we also will not let those accounts withdraw Belacoin.

So wait you're telling me we have sensorship like INSTAGRAM and the likes?

I think this has caused the price dip.

Thank you guys who make price go dip Smiley I bought 10K Belacoin more. And i am wait when they will share App for mobile  Wink

all the negative discussions on the forum is responsible for price dip

Wonder how many of those responsible are buying the dip? (I wonder about that in general - perhaps FUDding is very lucrative for them?)

Ok, I am new to trading and have been interested in BELA.   However I am disappointed to see how much porn related material is showing up with the new beta  launch of belacam.   I am wondering what the response is on this?

It is important to note that we have not yet made a decision on how exactly we will move forward with updating the code. One option is upgrading to Litecoin's most recent source code, although we would like to avoid a hard fork. We will let everyone know when we have decided upon a solution.

There currently is no reward for inviting people to Belacam.

As some have noticed, there is a difficulty retargeting issue with the old code belacoin was built on.

It uses Kimotos Gravity Well to make sure the diff is adjusted accordingly to the network hashrate in order to keep blocks coming in at roughly the 2min projected time. What has been happening is, due to our new found attention, and the fact that we are scrypt, tremendous amounts of hashing power is coming in from asic farms and then they jump off leaving the diff extremely highly for the few miners left on the network. Normally the diff retargeting algo, KGW, is supposed to counteract for that but alas, sometimes it does not.

The solution for this is simple.

We will hardfork to litecoins latest core. With that, we will also adopt SegWit, helping to future proof Belacoin along side Litecoin. It also removes the potential exploit, ASICBoost, which has been rumored to be in use by the biggest bitcoin mining farms. With assistance from The Project Radium Team, work on the hard fork has begun today and when we know more, we will keep the community updated. Until this happens, we sincerely apoligise as these blockchain hung ups will continue to happen occasionally.

As mentioned in the past though, your coins are safe as always, they are merely just taking their time to get to their destination.
