It is hard to say. 2018 turned out to be unsuccessful. It was possible to climb only at a short distance. But 2019 for Ethereum, I'm sure.

I think all altcoins have the same potential and don't have any of the best altcoins / any altcoin is the worst. Every Altcoin has its direction and potential. With this market, I think you still have to wait for things to stabilise for your investments.

In my opinion best Altcoin in 2018:
-Ripple
Because I think project ripple is very good and trusted.

If so considered, I most like the Ontology (ONT). Quite a strong project, the growth of which little could stop except for such a strong and protracted fall of Bitcoin.

This year is not good for crypto.  But ETH is the best of all in the fall. There is a demand to lose its price. I think, ethereum is the best altcoin in this year. most of the project based on ethereum.

Maybe I see Pundix is the best among the other altcoins, besides it has trading at high volumes, sales that reach hardcaps on ICO and almost all exchange pundix exist, I just think no other altcoins can make it like Pundix reach

Well I do not have any choice now since market price has more dip on 2018. I was expecting something huge in this year 2018 where bull run as speculated will going to happen. And it is the opposite that happens for 2018. I cant think so much now of a good altcoin so probably i will just stay away for now in the altcoin market.

I agree with your choice. Ethereum did pretty well this year, considering. I think it is not only the best altcoin, but the best performing crypto coin.

I think that best altcoin of 2018 is altcoins like Stellar, Verus, Ethereum. All of them show good high prices ans as for Eth and XML - this coins has a very userful blockchain platforms and show itselfes like most wanted coins.

to be honest , STR are the best for me , this year price from 100++ satoshi to 5000 satoshi is huge ammount of rising , with their good build up project

But still, if you are looking at current price and graph. Most of altcoins are having a bad day in few weeks because bad news. Still we have good hope later to see price are growing up again even though it would take longer time. I'd say Ethereum is okay to hold till now.

Ethereum will remain the king of the altcoins for many years. The capitalization is huge and growing, people keep Ethereum no matter what. With me Ethereum is the best Altcoin for this year because many are very interesting in Ethereum and the reason is that bitcoin prices are a lot easier. Evaporation that many people fear to invest their money in bitcoin. This year has become the year that many Altcoin emerged and have a pretty good development. But my point of view keeps ETH intact.
