RVN is a good coin, I have heard from people and also by reading the comments, but then again, investing in coins below $1 or coins that are not known is a total risk. BNB is the best as an alternative to ETH.
The current price does not determine the future success of any token. Right now, altcoins are very weak and I do not see any point in investing in them. However, at the moment, 90 percent of altcoins are looking good and are below 1 dollar value.
There’s a lot of good coins aside from ETH and if I will to invest I will choose the best altcoins for me like BNB, Mb8coin, Monero, and NEO. I trade on those coins and make profit on that. In terms of long term holding I still prefer ETH on this because it will pump again one day and holding more is worth it.
yes, besides ethereum, I think there are still too many coins that also have a potential future, for example BNB, TRX, and others. for those who are curious, I suggest to open the coinmarketcap site, and see the top 20 coins that are there. as long as it's a popular coin, I think it has a great potential.

It is better if you will place your investment in top ranked coins which can be seen in coinmarketcap. Based on coinmarketcap XRP gets the 3rd place and I think you should go for it. Litecoin, and BNB is a good choice as well. Ripple is obviously a better option than many other top altcoins which is under $1 but Ripple is also struggling to hold on to market after the bearish market and the only fear of going with Ripple is that it might lose it's value anytime the development team decides to increase it's supply since they have no fixed supply limit, we can use it for trading purpose but not sure about long term investmentm

Apart from ethereum, I think there are many altcoins that cost under $ 1 and are worth investing. Coins or tokens that are in the top 100 coinmarketcap can be a good choice because they have a large transaction volume and are traded at large exchangers. Coins like TRX are one example of altcoin besides ethereum which is worth investing
Kinda like to hold unto new projects for longterm, i know many are cheap now and some lost over 90% value, but there are coins that are just blessed with responsible teams, i mostly like asia projects because of their sincerity and the little ones i invested in care more about their investors first.
XRP and XLM are cool too if looking for coins below 1$ but I wonder why people are so biased saying they are centralized coins. The very first thing I look out for is project development and Ripple for instance nailed it with Xrapid. NPXS is also undervalued in my opinion looking at the mind-blowing project development so far. It's sad that people don't buy coins now based on development progress but more on hype.

This is better for search a good coin instead price range like 1or 2 USD because as ICO price token price will be high. From top coin Litecoin and Binance coin is good without Ethereum and Bitcoin. Low price and good coin but without top coin, there is a favorite coin Harmony. Not your financial adviser but there are altcoins that will really do well...I think Atomic would and CTT too with some others. Doing research will indeed help as well
To be honest there are so many altcoins have bright future , but i am more confident that aside on eth we should invest on neo or on eos because this two altcoins will also have a huge price in the future and i think the money we will invest the two of it will be worth it once the bullrun comes again.
Well I do not know much about these coins but still I will study about these two because now I have intended to invest some money in Altcoins. But the coins in which I have invested are XRP and litecoin, these coins are just amazing, they bring me back much profit whether the market is bear or bull, I have been benefited by them either the investment is short term or long. 
My advice there are 2 coins , xrp and xlm. I see for some time these two coins are still very potential and have good prospects in the future.

But, when you invest into Cardano, you never know if they successfully create the blockchain solution that they promise, as Cardano is currently in the development phase, thats why price is pretty low now.

You're right about the price of the listed coins fallen and it all crypto in the market experience the said fallen in price. However, every crypto that's centralized is not good for long term investment which makes the number coin a worse investment. Besides, the coin name is XRP not Ripple cause is what security and remittance network platform while XRP is the cryptocurrency launched Ripple Labs Inc. However, I don't see Tron as a good choice either base on the crime record of its creator and I will advise the OP to choose coin like Stellar, Cardano and Monero, Dash and Zcash. I have researched this coin for a long time and at this time the price has really fallen.
