alt-coins have even much less of a "value" than btc. the only strategy for alt-coins is: stay in it, when 98% have given up. then next pump will come, and you can get rid of yours for better price.
the altcoin that isnt an investment but has features that draw users to it through its utility will be the next big thing, or at least it will be useful to all of us, and therefore help to increase the total wealth of the crypto world.

If you had bought NXT in the last weeks like the other posters recommended, you would have lost 10%-20% so far. Luxury vehicles don't buy themselves in Eastern Europe, just saying, there's certain lifestyle expectations to being a NXT whale.

If you had bought BTC in the last weeks*, you would have lost 11% (5.5% if you believe today's BTC pump has legs). Same dates in Nxt would have lost 5.2%. Peak to trough for the last weeks in Nxt would be an absolute MAXIMUM of 10.8%. To achieve this feat you would have had to bought at the very top and sold at the very bottom. And the peak to today it would be 7%.
So comparable, if not better, than the performance of the "gold of crypto", depending on how you want to slice the data.
