Reading this thread from the beginning without stopping has proven to be quite interesting. It is really cool to see where peoples predictions actually land.

Yeah, Lisk is the next big thing. And just to make it clear, since I saw some people confused:
Javascript is not Java.
Javascript has several advantages, including that It's easier to use and has a vast number of programmers using it.

Currently Ethereum dapp directory (http://dapps.ethercasts.com) has ONLY 34 LIVE Ethereum Dapps, so Lisk can certainly surpass that number of dapps within this summer, if we promote Lisk heavily to Javascript developers outside crypto world, through contests with serious monetary prizes.
I found most Ethereum dapps too specicific to crypto world so I prepared a list of sites using Javascript in real world applications, all for your inspiration:

LISK has a very good hype around it and it is only growing each day until it is released by the end of the month.
and the LISK hype is not unreal or spammy like what eth used to do a couple of months ago. i actually like the project so i am very excited to see how the future of this coin is going to be like.

(I'm not the dev of the coin nor CMO and not even a whale or miner, but I have academic interests in it, so I bump the SLM thread regularly if there are any news)PS: Proof of Burn is probably really a major cryptocurrency revolution, if you read Iain Stewart's contributions about Proof of burn in the Bitcoin wiki and my humble wiki article too

Be warned, that has its reasons: It doesn't have a real development team and code is a bit buggy (but working).
But if you can participate with development, you can get plenty of bounties (>1% of actual supply for some easy bug fixes, probably much more in the future if you prove your skills) and participate in a investment opportunity with high potential.

) I think the best altcoin to invest in 2016 is the Ethereum. It will become PoS in 2017. It is better to buy now and stake next year.
Not sure if people are duming their ETH already because it's price went back to 0.018 yesterday. The price of ETH was 0.025 once and now it went back to the lower price. Not sure if ETH is still the best altcoin to invest nowadays.
As of now i dont see any altcoin to be altcoin 2016 but only ethereum still remain in other altcoin fast movement for the price and has to potencial to grow more if they adopt it more.. and i think ethereum will be altcoin 2016..

I think the best altcoin to invest in 2016 is the Ethereum. It will become PoS in 2017. It is better to buy now and stake next year.
Unfortunately I think quite a few alts are going to take a beating with the btc halving coming up.
I'll probably let things stabilize a bit before I sell anything...can't imagine where things will be if btc surges big.
