Alts have been pretty challenged with the BTC explosion this week - I think that there will be an explosion in price on the 16th November following segwit2x
For me the best altcoin in this year 2017 is the ethereum
My choice is: Wings, Zcash, Golem, and Stratis,...These coins have impressed increasing in 2017. Besides, I also invest in some ICO projects Hydrominer, Playkey, Wepower. Hope that they will succeed.
As usual I search icobench.com. Sometime it seems to me that all the placements on big sites are payed but we have to find new sources of information. It is just golden fever of 2017. One can make x10 in week or two.

I think the best altcoin to invest in 2017 is Ripple. Look the chart, you can see that Ripple price has gone up 33 times in 2017 from 0.006$ to 0.2$. The increase is greater than bitcoin. So, my view is that Ripple is a potential coin in 2018.

Invest in coins like COSS/KCS or REQ COSS/KCS are bound to go up as time goes on and their exchange's volume goes up. REQ is just extremely promising with ING/YC backing them.
BOScoin is coming to exchanges in 31.october. I reccommend to put eye on that coin. It will one of the biggest volume-coins in november-december! Great ICO, big South Korean blockchain-coin. You can get it cheap when launched. Dont believe? First South Korean blockchain coin, ICO ended really fast, lots of Koreans didnt get their share. Possible 500-1000-2000million marketcap coin. Its not random shitcoin, Just put your eye on that coin

1) LTC: It is the first ever alt coin I purchased and I see it as a great investment opportunity (price is still affordable). The silver to BTC which works for me. Has been around for a while now and is still strong.
2) XRP: It has great potential to grow. The price per coin is still quite cheap, so you can get a larger amount and hold.
3) ETH: At first I would only purchase it to invest in other alt coins because it is the most used one and the fees are lower than BTC, but after seeing the potential for growth I have decided to keep some long term as well.

Great to see Waves getting plenty of love in this thread. I just hope that the Waves DEX is released this year and its as good as reports suggest, then at last we should see a new ATH!
I'm holding SALT, Zcash and XRP. The reasons are the following:

It makes the coin less volatile and since it's focused on the Japanese market, you're kinda exposed to the overall Asian market which is quite huge. Japanese are showing a lot of trust in that coin and that is mainly due to its adoption for top banks.

for me it's confideal, they're doing a good job really, providing good cust support and nice bonus system
