Kaspersky fucked me up for good, their Safemoney or whatever it is called, the feature that you can pay online with e-banking, securely, is flawed.

It almost locked my bank account, because it tried to mess around with it.
I suggest using high caution, i didnt lose money, but it definitely did suspicious activities, i had to ask my bank to lock it termporarly until i deleted it.

Fuck them.
How about you stop with the propaganda? There is nothing wrong with Kaspersky and you are probably a inexperienced user who has(had) trouble with the software. You do realize that Safemoney can be disabled right?

avast deleted all my files lol
i use microsoft antivirus
Your system is most likely infected then. I've installed Avast on hundreds of computers and nobody has had an issue with it. You shouldn't be using Microsoft Defender, it has become very bad over time.
You should read this and there are more sources that provide similar results. It is way under the industry average.

What I said only applies to common users. Pros, who have already given they word in this thread, are quite right as well, no antivirus is needed if you have straight hands and brains.

Basically any free is good enough. Antivirus branding is a great piece of marketing and selling, and how well or badly they perform practically doesn't depend on their brand. Their performance is basically the same, yet some branded ones add some bells and whistles to the GUI in order to be EXCLUSIVE and most up-to-date. Common MSE, Avira and Avast work quite well.

Dont use any antivirus, there have been cases where the antivirus was spying on the PC.

If you are a really big pro then you use more sophosticathed methods to store your bitcoins safely, without the need of any 3rd party software.
