As like many others Tom and Jerry was a old time classic which I really did love and I have seen the news ones and they are pretty shocking.

Does anybody remember this one show, I used to watch it in Canada when I was very little. I BARELY remember it but I think it was called "monster by mistake"? I'm pretty sure I enjoyed it when I was little.

Holy moly, I just looked that up because I was sure I remember this one. Yeah, it had incredibly crappy animation and I really don't know if I ever watched it or just switched to another channel immediately.  Grin

Simpsons was pretty awesome when it was a believable, "non-practicing, church-attending Christian," dysfunctional family with a dumb, drunk, angry dad and a dumb, drunk, bitchy mom with two bratty kids (one a bit more pretentious than the other).

Tom and Jerry used to be my favorite such a great show. does that still even air anymore?
Cartoon Network regularly (though rarely) airs the old T&Js. They created a pretty dreadful remake as they've done with most older shows they weren't willing to let die with a good legacy (they've remade Scooby Doo two or three times, now).

I've looked at the recent Scooby Doo and I'm sure it used to better than that (but I was a lot younger when I watched it of course so I don't entirely know) I haven't seen the new Tom and jerry's though and don't think I would want too.

Family Guy is the only cartoon I watch now, when I was young, I'd watch the cartoon channel the whole damn day and everything that was on was liked by me.

Wow, did I really forgot about Tom & Jerry? It was the only show my whole family watched together. It's weird imaging 30 year olds watching a cartoon.

I know I just had a look at some clips on youtube and it brought back some awesome memories. I used to love one of the episodes but cant seem to find it.
