Scala (XLA) is CPU-friendly and just released their latest miner. They developed their own PoW algo (DefyX), based on RandomX, Yescrypt and K12.

Website: https://scalaproject.io/
PoW information: https://medium.com/scala-network/scalas-v6-testnet-and-new-proof-of-work-information-3ba2a4eb0ad8
Mining Guide: https://medium.com/scala-network/a-mining-setup-guide-for-scala-f8f88b59198a

I get 650 H/S on an old AMD Phenom II, and latest CPU get much higher hashrates.

Disclaimer: I am part of the Scala team.

Metahash coin is somewhat CPU minable.
You can leave one of your CPU cores to mine it. It uses torrent technology
and runs on almost any hardware. If you don't have your own coins to start forging,
you can visit their website and sign up. They will give you 1000 rental coins so you can start
forging your own. It is perfect for GPU rigs which have a free CPU.

A great CPU mineable coin is BOID
they are just using BOINC and working with worldgridcoin, so not SUPER innovative
but they have their own leaderboards and teams, and bonuses, etc

Generally people only count coins that are "mineable" traditionally, so BOID has been left out it seems
idk how you would calculate profit daily there, but i ROI'd my 8700k in less than 6 months mining it

Do you mind to explain about mining this coin?
How do we receive the coins?
The mining program use your entire computer, CPU and GPU?

Check out this directory with CPU mineable coins that are updated automatically and curated manually: https://www.hostero.eu/cpu-mineable-coins. There are about 30 coins in the list currently, and some of the coins can be mined with the Hostero software.

Guides and tutorials on how to install the universal miner can be found at: https://www.hostero.eu/universal-miner

Recently, another coin appeared for solo mining by the processor - AmityCoin.
PoW ALGORITHIM: Cryptonight Adaptive Feat. Cryptonight Soft Shell, CPU ONLY, NO POOLS SOLO MINED.

CN soft shell is the algo of Turtlecoin and is very GPU minable (JCE CN miner / Teamredminer / SRB miner...). I'm currently mining it with CPU + GPU.

Are you sure? So you can mine XAM on the GPU? They recently started a new blockchain. Is that the coin you're writing about?

IF they do use cryptonight soft shell as their algo, well it's the Turtlecoin algo which is GPU minable.

Is this still profitable to do?  Minimum amount of money one would need for this?

Guys, few quick hints

If you want to earn serious money CPU mining, then do your own research.

If the coin is on any of these "calculator" sites, then you can almost guarantee far too many people are mining it to make it profitable.

There are several coins where you can be making $1-$3 a day from say a Ryzen 1700, which is not bad at all, at the moment.

Also, when you do find a coin, don't spread the word on here, unless you want a whale to kill it.

Good hunting...

So we only can make profit from CPU mining if we mine coin with cryptonote technology? What about another coin that does not have privacy feature? Can we still make profit mining it with CPUs?
You can mine another altcoin that is not including on the crypto night family like dogecoin, ETN, XDN, etc. But remember you can only make a few cents in a day and you can't put a high expectation to earn a huge profit.
Those coin I have mentioned above are not cryptonight coin.

The only coin I know of which barely touches the CPU and still hashes is JSE coin.
But these days it is a bit less profitable.

Yeah, I also like to mine with XMR-Stak in the past. However, I don't see the future of privacy coins, to make me continue with CPU mining. Is there any bitcoin-like or non-anon coins that can be mined using XMR-Stak (CryptoNight)?
