As others have said do your research but the most important thing is to decide whether it is a short or long term investment as this will narrow down your options somewhat.

Most of asian-based cryptos were a steal yesterday! And I did got a bunch of them, looking to 1x at least in a couple of days. This kind of panic sells are the absolute best and sure way to make a profit.
The alts market is a big mess right now. If you don't have some insider knowledge, or still don't have the expertise to separate real crypto innovation from the garbage, better buy and hold Bitcoin. It might not double before the end of the year, but something like 10, 20% profit is still a big thing.

I have great doubts at the moment. I just wait for the right mementum to invest on bitcoin or altcoin. because many of the current factors are a lot of unpleasant issues and incidents about crypto.
ETH is good enough to invest if you want to bitcoin too I think it will make a lot of money.
but there should always be an alternative reserve to invest on alcoin.

As for me having a great experience through cryptocurrencies,I think you should buy these coins,just like the bitcoin that has the highest value among the cryptocurrencies,or altcoins that has many components or many kinds.And other is Ethereum that has the second to the highest value among all nthe cryptocurrencies this is calles the rising cryptocurrency,its just because of its value that is next to bitcoin.
Stick with the basics if you're new, BTC and ETH are relatively stable and are good long term bets. After you learn the ropes, then branch out.
Okay I guess this is pretty fair and straightforward answer for someone who is completely new to crypto related investment. This is true because crypto world is very unstable and off course uncertain as well. You never know when the investment that was supposed to be great going would do exactly opposite and turn your world upside down. That's fairly true. So bitcoin as we all know king of all will always have its way to climb the top of hill and keep rising high is the only safest way. Better keep that kinda money into wallet for cold storage and watch it grow.
