Honestly, energy drinks are really meh. Personally, I like straight caffeine pills to give me a boost. It's a much quicker up, and a better down imho.

Plus if you OD you can just pound water for a bit, and you don't have to deal with acidic drinks giving you heartburn.

Just don't drink that crap if you care about your health. Best energy drink is your own crap (an alternative, if you still prefer using trademarks) or a pure limonade.

Does Mio Energy count? I squirt like a third of the bottle into my cola and it gives me the energy i need for about 4 hours with no crash... although doing this does give me heart palpitations therefore I dont do it that often.

They all taste really horrible. Red Bull is the most tolerable. But they just taste bad, and they don't offer any real energy. Not that I could tell, anyway, but YMMV.

Taste-wise Red Bull and Monster are somewhat similar. The only difference is that Monster Energy is a bit sugary, when compared to Red Bull. The ingredients also, are almost same.

Could be. Taste is subjective, eh? I wouldn't be surprised if Monster continually tried to make its formula similar to Red Bull's, as Red Bull was the first mover. This opinion was formed several years ago -- I wouldn't touch an energy drink now. Smiley

My favourite is Guru. It contains quite less sugar than most of them (relying primarely on caffein for energy), and is generally more natural.
