You really can't stop the government from getting what it wants.

You can, but you need to kiss goodby to mass usage. Its quite complex to stay below the screen.

Mexc. With basic registration you can withdraw up to 20 btc every 24 hrs (huge!). Note that I have only done spot trading, not sure whether access to margin/futures will require kyc.

Edit: no kyc for margin/futures either (https://www.reddit.com/r/MEXC_official/comments/yfvtk7/does_futuresmargin_trading_on_mexc_require_kyc_be/)

I really hope it lasts. Because I've seen exchanges that were once KYC-free, now requiring users to verify their ID to be able to use their platform. A good example of this is Bybit exchange. You really can't stop the government from getting what it wants.

Fortunately, nothing is lost thanks to the advent of DEXs and P2P exchanges. CEXs will be required to comply with KYC/AML due to the way they're designed. But I cannot say the same about DEXs. It's difficult to enforce regulations on something that lives on different computers all around the world. Bisq, Block DX, and atomicDEX are the best thing around when it comes to trading crypto without KYC. With Monero and Bitcoin, the possibilities are endless. Let's hope governments don't start cracking down on these decentralized solutions for the sake of the entire crypto/Blockchain industry. Just my opinion Smiley

OP, if you would like to find private and reviewed swapping services, I recommend checking out kycnot.me. Be sure to only check out verified services.

Which are the best crypto exchanges that doesn't require KYC? Aside from DEXs (decentralized exchanges), I'd want to know if there are any centralized exchanges that don't require you to verify your ID to trade crypto. Something like Shapeshift (instant exchange), but without the KYC part. I know this is like finding a "needle in a haystack", especially when governments have tightened regulations against crypto/Blockchain tech.

Any suggestions and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

There are several exchanges that do not require KYC verification, including:

PrimeXBT: This is a trading platform that allows users to trade cryptocurrencies with leverage. The trading fee is a flat rate commission of 0.05% of every transaction.

Changelly: This is a cryptocurrency exchange that enables users to exchange one cryptocurrency for another without KYC verification. The trading fee is a 0.25% exchange fee plus the network fee.

ChangeNOW: This is a non-custodial exchange that enables users to exchange cryptocurrencies without KYC verification. The trading fee is 0.4%.

Fixedfloat: This is a non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange that enables users to exchange one cryptocurrency for another without KYC verification. The trading fee is a floating rate of 0.5%, plus a network fee of 1%.

It's worth noting that while many other exchanges allow users to trade without KYC, most of their features and functionality are limited for non-KYC users.

Terrible post, terrible recommendations. I was not able to dig much up on PrimeXBT however I can safely say the Changelly and ChangeNOW are NOT recommendable and Fixedfloat seems to have recent cause for concern.

Changelly has multiple complaints:
- Changelly SCAMMED me today. Read the FACTS here.
- Beware of Changelly's shitty customer service/possible scam
- Changelly - The Infamous KYC Scam
I have read much more over time as well.

Fixedfloat has had complaints and negative comments arise recently on reddit:
- Fixedfloat is holding my funds
- Has Anyone Used FixedFloat Before?

ChangeNOW has a large amount of complaints including:
- Changenow.io selective scamming
- ChangeNow.io (Evercode Lab) - Scam. Illegally holding of 100 BCH (11 bitcoins).
-- same story on reddit
- Avoid changenow.io scammers steal your money
- Changenow.io is Requiring KYC/AML just like Changelly did holding user funds hostage

I know we all know it, but one more time.....
Not your keys, not your coins.
Any exchange can wake up tomorrow morning and ask for KYC. And once your coins are on it, you are stuck.

We like to think that all the places that we are talking about would never do that. We also know that the people running those exchanges can do whatever they want. You always have to keep that in mind.

I totally agree, it is preferable to avoid all centralized exchanges no matter what benefits or advantages they offer. Unfortunately, they have access to assets, that means your coins are completely controlled by them. It is certain they are easy to use and provide multiple trading options However, there is a high risk to get hacked, that’s why decentralized crypto exchanges are the best option and more secure than CEX. In addition to that, they are always accessible to users. For me, I would prefer hardware wallets like, Ledger Nano X , Secux v20 and Trezor model T but depending on your capital, the more you have huge amount of cryptocurrencies, the better and safer to use hardware. If you budget is low, then DEX will the best option to use.

Speaking of a new non-KYC exchange, it seems BetterCallRaul.it isn't alone. There are a couple of others more. There is PeachBitcoin.com that had just posted its Announcement thread a couple of days ago. Perhaps OP might want to check it out. And then there's also AgoraDesk.com. Not only does Agoradesk never requires KYC, it is also emphasized, at least in their campaign thread, that it "never plans to do so." Perhaps this is also worth checking out.

These are interesting times. One leaves, another arrives.

Interesting times, indeed. This shows us crypto/Blockchain tech is far from dead, despite the fact that governments and mainstream media are spreading so much negativism about it. We need as much non-KYC exchanges as possible to help bring true financial freedom to the unbanked. The new "Better Call Raul" exchange reminds me of the popular TV show called "Better Call Saul". It only has three trading pairs (ETH, XMR, BTC), but it could've been worse. I hope they add other coins in the long run, to bring a little more convenience to hardcore crypto users like me.

Still, there are no ways to buy/sell crypto without KYC in a truly-decentralized manner, so my options are limited. Better Call Raul is also centralized like the rest of the other instant exchanges available right now. This makes it easy for governments to shut them down whenever they want to. Something like Uniswap but that'll give you the ability to swap any cryptocurrency, would definitely do the trick. I think what comes close to that is BlockDX and atomicDEX. At least, it's a good start. Just my opinion Smiley

I completely agree with you. Indeed, any exchange platform that does not require the customer to complete KYC and submit his documents can request that at any time. If they discover suspicious activity in the customer’s account or discover that this customer violates their policy in terms of money laundering, the use of mixers, etc., then the money of this customer will be frozen Immediately and forcing him to pass KYC and verify the source of funds and other procedures. If a person wants to deposit his money on an exchange platform without KYC, he must bear in mind that he may wake up and find that this condition has changed for some reason, and he will be forced to submit his documents at the end, or his deposits will be in their possession.

If for some reason someone wants to use changenow, I suggest using PNNV.com exchange instead.
It's sort of a proxy service for changenow? but has a no-kyc policy according from the owner.
Interesting. I had no idea that agentF was also running an instant exchange in some type of partnership with ChangeNOW. I will bookmark the site just for reference.

I took a quick look at the rates. At times they are slightly better compared to what ChangeNOW offers on their official website. Other times, they are exactly the same. I haven't done much research so I can't say if it depends on the amounts you wish to exchange or on the assets involved in the swap.

I've also used them before but, why don't you just use a VPN and access them? But compared to the other instant exchanges, based on my experience the fees that they've got is higher than the others.

Yes. Sideshift.ai is very expensive compared to other alternatives such as FixedFloat and CoinPlaza. It would be an option of a last resort, when all else fails. Despite the fact that instant exchanges are convenient (no KYC), they can easily be shut down by the government due to their centralized nature. That's where atomic swaps come in.

There's an app called AtomicDEX that uses atomic swaps technology for trustless crypto trades. If we had a variety of alternatives, crypto would be truly unstoppable. The only downside is that you cannot buy/sell crypto with Fiat using this innovative tech. Thus, P2P would be the only on/off ramp to/from the crypto/Fiat worlds without the need for KYC. Regulations are getting fierce each day, so only time will tell us the fate of no-KYC exchanges as alternative for those seeking true privacy and anonymity. Just my thoughts Grin

Use DeFi for trading. However, for off ramps and if you have already have made much money in the cryptospace that you would like to convert to the real world, I reckon it would be very difficult to do it without KYC. So it might be a good time to begin developing a system for off ramping to the real world with KYC. For us small minnows it would not be a big problem without it hehe.

I just did that when I was curious after seeing them and I tried so that's basically the first thing that I've noticed since I do compute how much I should receive and how much the fee will be being projected on that transaction. I agree, they're subject to scrutiny if a government starts to look at them as something they can no longer ignore.

There's an app called AtomicDEX that uses atomic swaps technology for trustless crypto trades.
I'll get to try that soon.

That's true, when before that anonymity isn't really a thing that government and regulators would mind but now they do. Hopefully that even the time will come that they're all strict and requires even the no-kyc instant exchanges to be kyced, there must be ways for having another alternative which usually comes at those toughest times done by those concerned devs and enthusiasts.

ChangeNOW is not a non-custodial exchange. They like to call themselves non-custodial or "free of custody" as it says on their website, but it's not true. You deposit your coins into an address they control, not you. It's true that they don't request KYC, but that's not the case with their partner services. They might request that you identify yourself, and your crypto will be frozen until you do.

If for some reason someone wants to use changenow, I suggest using PNNV.com exchange instead.

It's sort of a proxy service for changenow? but has a no-kyc policy according from the owner.

When someone swap or exchange, the funds go to my account and in the backend, I'm sending my funds (that's why it takes a bit more time to swap) which means if someone loses money, I am responsible for it.
It's registered on my company and i dont need a KYC. I take full responsibility if any amount getting freeze ( which 99% wont happen ) but i take full responsibility.

I know it's basically just a promise but I'd rather go to a reputable member from here rather than changenow. However, I'd like to note the general rule for big amounts still applies - break it into pieces if it would pass on custodial wallets.

I think Changelly works in a similar way, but I have never tried it.

They do! look up their threads on bitcointalk and reddit, you'll find plenty of users whose funds were held hostage unless they KYC.

We have that new instant exchange called Better Call Raul. They are currently running a signature campaign through Royse777. They support instant and KYC-free swaps between bitcoin, ethereum, and monero.

ChangeNOW: This is a non-custodial exchange that enables users to exchange cryptocurrencies without KYC verification. The trading fee is 0.4%.

I think KuCoin might be one. I've used it before and didn't have to go through any KYC verification process. But don't leave big amounts of assets on centralized exchanges. Just make your trades and move your funds to your wallet. Also, make sure to read the terms of use before you start using any exchange.
I think it depends on one's jurisdiction. For example, my jurisdiction is not supported by Kucoin, and they won't let me use some products such as their p2p platform until I first verify

That applies to all jurisdictions, not just yours. This means when you use kucoin or centralized exchange, if you deposit and withdraw, you will be limited to your non-KYC account, and also you will not be able to use other products, especially P2P. P2P of centralized exchanges all require KYC to avoid fraud, there is no region or a centralized exchange you can use P2P without KYC.

Instant exchanges are great, but fees are a little bit high compared to a centralized exchange. I guess you get what you pay for (access to crypto without KYC).
That's actually the cons in an instant exchange but that's what convenience is, and that's what everyone will pay for it. They get a commission in return, you get to exchange without the need to comply to any KYC requirement.

I've used Sideshift.ai sometime ago, until they've started restricting access to US-based customers. I don't get why they're doing this when the exchange doesn't comply with KYC/AML laws. Using VPN would be a workaround, but not all people are tech-savvy you know.
I've also used them before but, why don't you just use a VPN and access them? But compared to the other instant exchanges, based on my experience the fees that they've got is higher than the others.
