Any sport which you have the best knowledge. If you follow hometown teams, you could have a slight advantage in knowing which games are especially important to them or which they will be gunning hard to win. If you don't follow any sports, then anything that has a lot of stats already out there. MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and soccer are all good options.

Yeah i agree with you about follow your hometown teams, because you will know all of your advantage or weakness of your hometown teams. that's why i always bet sports when my hometown play.

The best sport to gamble is soccer and you can choose to play it in league there. Any bundes la liga, premier league and Italian League. You can see this thread for the prediction https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/premier-league-prediction-thread-epl-1148053

Best sport to gamble is tennis, because not everyday Federrer is defeated by a lower ranked player, while in other sports I have seen a lot of unexpected results going on and the odds are too bad on favorites.

find something to be an expert in and you have the best shot.

My buddy only bets maac football. Its a small conference and he
follows all the writers on twitter and watches every game and he
goes 70% in the maac. He used to bet it all and was a big lose. He
found one thing and focused it on it and found edges.

My favorite is soccer (German Bundesliga), but I agree with bitbaby--the best events to wager on are ones where you are extra knowledgeable, but also it's important to get the best available odds or spreads that are better than the market average. Look at a bunch of different books and place your bet at the one with the best odds.

Live betting you can take advantage of swings in the odds. A few examples of this: waiting for some part of the first half to elapse in a soccer match before playing the over to get better odds, betting on a tennis favorite after their opponent just held serve and is up, getting a better spread on an nba game minutes into the first quarter that may be significantly different due to a small run, betting on an esport team on a map by map basis (in some esports teams have a big advantage, or be more prepared on certain maps they chose to be played).

If you have some insight into a teams strategy it can be useful live as well. Knowing which teams will foul to extend a basketball game when down even when there is no hope. Looking at the pace teams play at. Whether the match is important or not to the team (are they trying to keep from being relegated, or are they looking ahead to their next more important match). Knowing if a team had delays in travel due to weather, or a rough day (twitter can be useful for these kinds of things).

Check a free odds monitoring service--if odds move quite a bit before the game have an idea why this happened. Maybe key players are not playing. Knowing if key players are injured or not for the match, or are fatigued from playing many matches in a row can be important. Sometimes there are better odds to be had betting against this, have to decide for example if people are overreacting to Chris Paul being out.

I think you have to research, but you don't have to watch the games at all if you're not interested or don't have time all day. You might hate baseball, but could find you are profitable betting it. I wouldn't just bet on sports you like to watch, but wherever you see a good position. Anyway, shouldn't feel like you have to watch every game you wager on, and shouldn't feel like you have to wager every day.

What's harder for most people is not finding the best sport to gamble on, but being disciplined enough, betting small % of bankroll to avoid not going broke, reviewing and tracking past picks and seeing whether or not you actually profit betting women's double's badminton.

The best Sports to gamble would be the ones you watch and know everything about, it then becomes a lot easier to bet on them. For me that would be Tennis, I know the players enough to make calculative speculations.

For me best sport to Gamble is basketball since stats an team review are available online, you can easily check who will play for a specific date and predict who will win.

MMA sometimes are hard to predict because of those lucky punches which may end up in an upset.

I think the best sport to gamble on is the sport you're most familiar with. If you're just betting chalk in a sport you don't have a lot of knowledge of, you probably won't fare so well.

The sports I gamble for is mostly Tennis, Football (soccer) and Horse racing. They seem most profitable to me. I too have made some bet for cricket but it's less predictable.

It is not true because you may be good in guessing results in these two so you will be thinking only those two games are good to make money but for me cricket is best because I know this game very well and I also made some good profit so for. It all depends on your sports knowledge.

What you said is correct because for me also cricket is a easy game to guess the results. Reason is I know most of the top teams players strength and they performance so we can make some accurate guessing but still end results will need a luck to win money.

anything can be good. i think this is just a matter of preference. if you enjoy that particular sport and have found a good place to place your bets any sport can be best sport to gamble. (from football, to dog race and chicken fights Smiley)

Well I mean honestly, it really comes down to what you have more knowledge about.  The more you know the "inside scoop" about what's going on with the players or team, the better probability you have of winning.

Now when it comes to the odds, I find that sports like horse racing and maybe golf has the better odds of picking someone to win.  Even the best player in the field (for golf) brings out like a 3 or 4:1 odds ratio, because you are betting that player against the rest of the field, which decreases your odds of winning in some aspects.

But regardless, it's all about a matter of enjoying watching the sport, and having some money (or BTC) on the game just makes it that much more interesting for the gambler.

I think tennis is the hardest sport to bet. And the easiest for me are soccer, basketball and esports. Because it's more predictable than other sports.
