The best wallet hardware wallet. Hardware wallet is a good choice if you' re serious about security and convenient, reliable bitcoin and crypto storage. The three most popular best hardware wallet is, Ledger Nano S, TREZOR, KeepKey. Hardware wallet many safety hackers can't be stolen it can be protected with a pin code. Hardware wallet keeps private keys separate from vulnerable, internet connected devices.

Hello all, I recommend Bitberry mobile wallet. On the Bitberry wallet, users can easily sign up via their Google accounts without any need to store private keys.

I like Myetherwallet for ETH and ERC20 tokens. Very popular, fast and simple  Grin. But you must afraid fishing sites, join only from browser bookmark.
Lol you cannot store bitcoin in MEW wallet, because MyEthereumWallet is for erc20 based tokens/coins only  and not for the number cryptocurrency Bitcoin

I recommend OP must not use exchanges for storing hes cryptocurrencies because this is prone to hacking and stealing

Hi All,

unfortunatelly I lost almost all my cryptocurrencies, which I had in 2014, since I left them on exchanges.

Now, I only could access one exchange with 0.1 bitcoin, cash - goldcoin. Additionally, I have stille some ripple xrp coins. Now, I was wondering how to store them savely? If I download only the bitcoin wallet all the blocks are going to be donwloaded which is a lot of data.

Could anybody recommend me how to save the coins savely, I actually whould like to store different once. Since I also lost over 400 Dark/dashcoins, since I left them on an exchange....

thanks in advance

Very sad to here that.

Below are few wallets that I have used:
1. Trezor
2. Exodus
3. Coinomi.

Well since you have lost your bitcoin early as a result of leaving them unsecured on an exchange.

It would be best to have your bitcoin that you don't want to exchange immediately kept in a bitcoin wallet

No best wallets out there, but so far I have no issues with these:
1) Exodus desktop wallet. Nice themes and portfolio management.
2) MyEtherWallet online mainly for your ERC tokens
3) Ledger as a physical wallet. Expensive and coin support is limited but that's the safest way to store your funds.

The current firmware on Ledger’s Homepage is still version 1.4.2. The new firmware, v 1.5, will be available very soon (see ledger-nano-s-firmware-update-to-be-released-early-january-2019), and it brings a few interesting features:

-   New cryptographic algorithms (to support more crypto-assets), which bring along new hashes, signatures and derivation schemes.

-   Security enhancements (MCU genuine check to attest firmware – likely related to what wallet.fail presented in the 35c3 conference, modified pin code implementation to make it more resilient to hacks, arithmetic arquitecture redesign).

-   WebUSB, enabling the creation of apps similar to Ledger Live on any compatible browser.

-   Fixed a bug in application management to recover free space properly.

What’s even more interesting is that Ledger Nano X, the new enhanced version, is now available in pre-order, and will be available during March 2019 (see Ledger Unveils New Nano X Hardware Wallet at CES 2019 and Ledger Nano X), bringing amongst other features:

-   Bluetooth enabled capability (easier integration with mobile devices).
-   Greater capacity (up to 100 apps).
-   Larger screen.
-   Enhanced hardware (that seems to now cover the MCU).

We’ll have to see it in action. Interesting, but personally not (yet) to keen on Bluetooth communication with the device.

If the plan is so save the coins for long period the i would say the best option is a paper wallet. To make a paper wallet could be really easy with vanity gen, you onlt need the addy and the private key, then you can print it or save it inside a file.txt then put that file inside a zip and add it password.

Remember to download the software and create your own addys, if you use a online service for this then you will risk your coins by compromising your secret key with the server.

I'll recommend hardware wallets like: Trezor, Ledger, Keepkey or make it by yourself on your USB.

Almost anything else you will do will be so much better than you did before.
Use online wallets, use software wallets, even use mobile wallets (but this is worst option from this three) that will be better.

I recommend online or software wallets, keep your private keys always this will guarantee you success and recovery of old coins.

I recommend to use Ledger Nano S
If some coin dont have presence on hardware wallet use wallet provided by dev team from main site coin. Web wallets and having coins on exchange is not good way to storage coins.

How you keep your details is very important .. but I do like coinoomi ... It has a very good interface , though their shapeshift feature is not yet on board, but since I been using them I have had any gitches .
