I think the most convenient wallet to store a lot of altcoins is MEW. It is possible that it is better to buy tokens or coins on the exchange, since two-factor authentication also protects your account well. The most reliable way is to purchase a hardware wallet, but unfortunately the number of coins is limited.
I think the best and most trusted wallet for altcoins is myetherwallet, metamask, imtoken. because based on my experience the security system is good. but if you still doubt it all I suggest you to use hardwallet.
I am of the opinion that hardware or cold wallet is the only safest wallet now as they support all major many coins and no one can hack it as hardware don't have any key.
Best free wallet for lots of alt coins is MEW. It support for erc20 coins. I have used it for a long time with metamask and it can be used safely. But hardware wallet as ledger is the best choice for storing lots of alt coins.
I will advice you to keep using the particular wallet recommended by the projects management. But I still prefer Myetherwallet for storing my coins that are Ethereum based.
I am noob in the cryptocurrencies, but I use myetherwallet and I see it that a good choice because the most cryptocurrencies are based in ethereum and this wallet works with this network. I Still, I have not had issues with this wallet.
I also used myetherwallet wallet for my alt-coins because it is recommended wallet for bounty campaign and also recommended of all of my friends.
same with me, i save my altcoin in myetherwallet or can called MEW, its simple wallet and easy for beginning in the crypto like me
but be carefully to use myetherwallet because so many phising web and it so harmful
I think MEW is a perfect wallet, all security features are available at MEW so I also keep my ethereum and tokens at MEW, and I'm happy that using more than 2 years has not been a problem.

Well, definitely I would choose me for me this is the best wallet for storing ERC 20 tokens, and of course I would choose myst and hardware wallet are the best wallets!
the only best is MEW. because MEW is a wallet that is below the etherum palform, and most of the bounties are platform on etherum. actually there are others like waves and stellar, but I think MEW is the best.

I use the ledger, this wallet never let me down. Plus it is time-tested, the same trezor did not live up to expectations.
For ERC2O, I always use Metamask (almost 1 year) and see how convenient and safe it is. For other coins/tokens, I use android app wallet such as: Enjin wallet, Kcash... just consider it
I am just hodling my coins on different MEW wallets. It is much safer that to hodl everything in just one wallet. You can also keep your funds on different exchanges or buy yourself a ledger wallet. There are a lot of opportunities, but if you would be careful with your private key, there won't be any problems.

This might not be entirely true. What do you think about hardware wallets than. There are hardware cold storage wallets like ledger nano s that support lots of altcoins, and I think that hardware wallets are safer than any other software or jot wallet. Even if the deva created a proprietary wallet, if an hardware wallet can support that specific coin, I will choose the cold wallet. It is much safer. And cooler, if you ask me. It is nice to have a piece of hardware specifically taking care of your beloved coins
I'm Using trust Wallet for ERC20 coins and I have no problem using it, and for desktop I use MetaMask, but my favorite Wallet is my Ledger Nano S, this is the safest wallet of all, it's like a vault, be your own bank.

I still use my current wallet which is myetherwallet because it is the most suggest wallet by my friends it is kinda easy to use and transfer some currency that I want to trade and I think it's security is really damn good. it can keep your investments to it even you hold it for a long time that's why I also suggest it to you to use as your personal wallet to use in keeping your currency.
