I lost 5 BTC in BTCJam back in 2013...the support didn't really give a f*ck abou it...they don't care much if someone will scam you...So i would avoid the lending websites...mostly the users are paying back until they don't...so it is kind of ponzi schemers there

Well hello there!
BTCJam insofar as what it does is legit, but be warned, there are far more scammers listing projects on that site than there are legitimate ones.

www.btcpop.co is a new P2P lending site.

It was built out of frustration with the lack of choices with the other sites, and the lack of willingness by them to deal with the amount of scam listings. There will soon be a forum to run along side it which is in great contrast to btcJam who block the words Facebook, Google from comments and can censor your comments if you discus loans outside of the platform  !!!!

There are some great features in it like being able to flag loans up as potential scams, being able to cancel your investments and Insurance, should a borrower not pay out as well as "Trusted Borrowers" and the saftey of being able to invest in loans that can not be withdrawn from the site.

It is still in test mode and will be for another week or so, but there are live loans on there and live investors. ฿30 has been repaid, ฿34 lent out in active loans and ฿28 currently funding.

There will be some exciting stuff happening there over the next few months too Wink

As I say, it is still in development but full launch is expected some time early next week.

If you are looking for the best place to run some kind of loan scam then btcjam is by far the best place

OP is looking to give loans, not take loans.  Grin

Prosper.com, but they don't offer BTC yet.
This is probably one of the better lending sites for lenders (which results in better chances for a borrower's loan getting funded). Prosper will sell the lenders a pass-though note which means they do not directly own the debt of the borrower and that prosper can collect the entire loan from the borrower verses individual lenders trying to collect small amounts from borrowers (which is not cost efficient).

If you are looking for the best place to run some kind of loan scam then btcjam is by far the best place

May be BTC jam is the largest out there ?

yup, largest haven for scammers. I would rather look for another form of investments rather than these loaning sites..

What would you suggest? I've been hearing good things about investing in gambling sites. After all, the house always wins.

thanx looks solid.
so BTCLendingClub and BitBond dont seem good spots to enter then

I wouldn't say that they're bad, just that BTCJam is generally better.

Bitbond looks kind of promising though. The owner was interviewed here.

They also have a support account on the forum.

And it was partially discussed here. The OP never confirmed if he tried the site.

I would personally say btcjam. It's all about who you're sending it to and how much information. If you wanted to find out more about the person you're lending to, you could use their contact information and interview them as well as look at their past funding if they owe anyone or defaulted.

Okay, I'm a newbie. So I'd take no offense if you didn't listen to me.  Cheesy

But BTCJam was discussed here, maybe you'd like to take a look at it. One guy confirmed to be profitable.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/btcjam-any-thoughts-or-experiances-499995

And here.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/btcjam-experiences-651639

They seem to have had issues last September though.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/btcjam-new-scandal-3-days-blocking-some-users-that-cannot-withdraw-802844

I'm also planning to invest there if I had the funds. I know about two other lending sites, BTCLendingClub and BitBond.
But I haven't seen a lot about them around the forum. A lot of people say that BTCJam is the most trusted and well-known.
The "well-known" part I can agree with, but I can't confirm its trustworthiness since I haven't used it personally.

Good luck. Smiley
