this market has natural high volatility due to the recent of its technology and a volatility index coin cannot be missing.
Volatility Coin index aims to be the new complement to the whole crypto coin ecosystem
as the Chicago Board Options Exchange Market Volatility Index for crypto currency market
and will try to measure the implied volatility in the top 20 crypto currencies by market cap in the next 10 days.
Volatility coin will reach high values in price if the market is having high volatility or when its crashing,
the measure of volatility will be in either direction including to the upside or downside. In other words,
when investors anticipate large upside or downside movements in the upcoming days, volatility coin will peak in value.
This will be done by our volatility indicator that will be displayed on the website and we are going to integrate in the wallet,
the volatility indicator will be the average volatility in the top 20 crypto curencies not counting if its upside or downside.
Volatility as a tradable coin
While technically it does not measure the probability that the market is going to drop or going up in the near future, at times it does
represent a measure of fear or expectation that it will.
The volatility indicator
This will be a number displayed in website and in-wallet trying to measure the upcoming volatility, the trading equation will perform operations
according to this; with a 0 volatility index, the price will remain the same in the new floor acquired after the pre sale, now price should move
2.5x the volatility indicator, if the indicator is 10, price should be 25% up, the goal is trying to predict the indicator for the next 10 days .
How the indicator gets its value?, the number displayed will be calculated by this: it will be the current volatility average by current movement
of the top 20 coins not counting if it was downside or upside, taking equally their respective FIAT volume as a contributor to the indicator
if 10 coins were -20 and 10 were +20, the volatility number will be 20 supposing they all had the same volume , once we get this number
an equation will rest or add no more than 30% of that value depending on current and past 10 days volume and current market depth movement,
strikes below the all time low and strikes above the all time high in the last 10 days ( it will get the ATL and ATH values from the last 30 days).
Another goal for volatility coin project is to be the “shelter” coin, if rest of crypto coins are falling, VLT will benefit and raise in price if the market
is crashing as a mere volatility index indicator, once VLT starts trading in an exchange having FIAT, trading in this way we can have our own VLT/USD-EURO
trading part and we can be less pegged to BTC, in several instances when BTC is falling, it tends to attract all the alt-currencies with it but VLT will perform
