it's all about hitting it at the proper time. I've seen a team use the WC and take -8-12 on the next GW to reorganise their team. (Harkorede)

I agreed a good use of the WC could reshape one's team for the rest of the season but could also cause you alot of shit if not properly used.

Over my first season with the game, I didn’t get to use most of my chips like the bench boost and the triple captain. Some of the reason was that, I just didn’t know when was the best time to apply it. You don’t want to apply it and then you find your triple captain getting an averaged point or your bench coming up with something even below average. For most of us, our bench is so low quality that, we practically signed them for the purpose of warming the bench while spending more on on-field players that we feel could give us those vital points.

That’s what makes these chips under appreciate or not have much value like the WC, it’s always about a gamble on these chips but, the WC isn’t always like that.
In fact, you can almost be sure of something coming up in the DC which would require you to apply your WC. Other times would be the BGW. It’s always plausible and you have a high expectation which often plays out compared to the use of other chips.

As per the side league, I’ll put that to bed. It’s just few GWs ahead and I don’t see the need. I rather wait or take my chances in other on going leagues for those that are already in one. Let the season’s loss be the season’s loss. That’s gambling, you loss and let loose.

As someone that has used both chips, WC is the most important for me and free hit even though it's only available for use once per season, I'd rank it 2nd place. WC helps to mitigate previous mistake with squad picks. Last year, I was doing badly in the league but since I used WC and limited the number of transfers I do in a week, I've seen good progress.

I'd like to join. Even though I'm in 19th position and I have recently had some nice return weeks, I still think the top 10 is far-fetched for me. Breaking into top 5? Near impossible at this point when Trofo and other big ballers in the league are nearing 1800 points. Grin

Being a gambler is expecting the worse while hoping for the best. The majority of the team has nothing left to fight for and lacks incentive to continue, which is why the second chance league will benefit them more than harm. It's a battle for the Mids. No serious gambler will pass this.

Had some high hopes on Saka in today’s fixtures against Sheffield United. The day that most of the team got goals to their names, the most goals for them on their last 5 games and Saka could get one. Arteta did take him off too early though but, he should have for that point boost. He got 2 assists though, not bad.

Still looking up for what to do with my team in the coming GW. I guess am sure bringing in Son.

Sidebet on Second Chance League? Sorry friends, I know I like giving money away but even I know FPL is far from my reach. I don't mind losing when I'm competitive, but I'm ready to admit I'm beyond the minimum requirements of Fantasy Football.

I'm seriously starting to think Liverpool players aren't worth the remainder of this season. 60 minutes isn't even a given, except for Salah and VVD and that constant loss of playing time points is hurting me.

Try using a VPN - usually if a site's not loading on your browser and it's not dead or blocked, then it's the router getting jammed by accident.

I don't know who the most unlucky player in this pool have been if not me, I was forced to used my Free Hit last game week, and this week I had absolutely no choice but to wild card, and not as if that as turned out to be the in my favour either, my starting 11 player all have 47 points combined, while just the 4 players on my bench have a whooping 36 points (all goes to waste), and yes I got rid of Foden too, despite myself emphasizing that's he's currently a must City player due to his form and versatility Angry

It sure would be considered a great use if anyone can get 36 points for their bench boost chip in any FPL season.

Foden is playing a fantastic season, yeah. I made a mistake when I transferred him out, I did it for Saka so maybe he'll repay the faith tomorrow Grin

City is where you win or lose this season. If you manage their assets well, you'll be 200-300 points ahead of the guy that does not. I'm the guy that does not.

Haaland got the third goal for Manchester City after the mistake from Amrabat. That goal will be a consolation to that very huge miss from him in the first half. The best player for Manchester City and the most valuable asset to own in this club is Phil Foden, he is on very good form and his confidence keeps increasing with every game, and this season has to be the best season of his career.

Manchester United today were very poor, they could not put up a fight against Manchester City, Rashford missed some chances, and the entire team lacked the fire to win the game. Onana was the best player for Manchester United for me until after Foden found a way through.

The problem with Haaland is that he is so good we are judging him by his own last year standards. I mean the guy has scored 28 goals in 31 games this season. Not bad stats for any attacker no matter the name.

That being said, he missed unbelievably good chance today in first half, Darwin vibes all along.

It’s not been a round that I enjoy either even with some of the assets yet to play but, it’s across the board so, little need there for worry.

Meanwhile, the Solanke asset, imagine my surprise when I found him featuring after I had benched him for the GW. He just couldn’t manage a goal or even an assist and so, ended up with just 2 points which means, having him to feature wouldn’t have made any much difference although, am delighted his fit enough to play in the DGW, his definitely going to produce something from those light fixtures and yeah, one less transfer to make.

Solanke played, which means one less transfer to do for the next round. Lucky for me because now that KDB is back, Alvarez is not playing as many minutes as he used to.
I can't believe I plan to go the rest of the season without any City assets. They will all collect a shitload of points, but I'm done guessing who will play and when.

Team full of injuries again, the main question for the next GW will be Solanke's fitness. Salah should be at least on the bench.

Of all the players in my squad, Watkins is the permanent fixture I wish I'd just captained from the very beginning. For a very long time it was Wilson but since he stopped playing, I haven't restored him to my squad.

Nunez not giving me nearly as many points as he deserves, mainly because he just doesn't get enough minutes even when he makes an appearance.

Remember, I don't know what I'm doing, though.

Well yeah, I forgot to mention Palmer. My post was about what might be a good lineup next season. But there's only 5 midfield spots and after Saka / Son / Foden / Bowen, if I had to choose between Salah and Palmer it is definitely Salah who is getting in.

My theory is that City were only able to run rampant against Luton in the FA cup because the latter were dead tired from playing an extra game (against Liverpool). So I guess nobody's really missing out on KDB's points in the Prem for now at least, and as for the robot, it obviously isn't ideal to go without him, but the budget doesn't allow for me to get him along with all these other players.

Haaland is not really essential nowadays, his FPL points can be covered by Alvarez and 1-2 premium DEFs.

That is all very nice but Salah & Haaland have the price which they have for a reason. And trust me you are gonna see why sooner or later. What would you say if that cup game where Haaland scored 5 and De Bruyne assisted 4 were a league game instead?

I am also gonna argue that you did not mention Palmer and he is in my book the most essential player this season.
