Martial is also heading out of my team, the only decision to be made is for whom. perhaps, it's finally time to get that so due Arsenal player I've been longing for or the Newcastle returnee Alexander Isak.
Martial has been inconsistent for years now under various managers; he is one of those potential players who never live up to expectations; it is time for him to move on to a lower team with less pressure and expectations in order to rebuild his career. I used to want him on my team, but I'm glad the transfer never happened.
I am seeing that differently, Martial is a great player but has a lot of problems with injuries which has held him back in the career. Sort of same like Wilson. Type of player that always loooks good when playing at 100 percent but almost never able to play at that 100 percent.

So who is your captain this week? I am thinking of Kane instead of Haaland this week. Spurs against Fulham should be full of goals.

Almirón hasn't made a dangerous move in the box since the league resumed; his form has dipped, with only two shots on target in the last three games. Unless he proves me wrong this weekend with a brace and an assist, this is his final GW.

it is not an easy decision who to put in, but Martial is certainly on way out
still thinking about DGW decisions, almost none gave me anything tangible, and lost several free transfers, is it right time to get Pope back after having Kepa for few rounds, and against Liverpool will be a tough time to keep clean sheet

Salah future in my team is also questionable

With what I saw Guardiola did yesterday, I would rather have Salah than De Bruyne, because I'm very sure Salah would always have 90 minutes when fit, but with De Bruyne, I'm not sure I can say the same of De Bruyne.

Martial is already out of my team, I would have gone with Weghorst because I was rather impressed with what I saw versus Crystal Palace, but then Man United are not very high scoring team so I'm very fine with just two of Man United players now.

I guess Wout and Martial will share the minutes and that makes both of them not good choices. Rashford is enough to cover United attack.

agree here, Martial is on road out from my team
he did not proved worth it, but did not want to send him for -4 points, so he stayed for a DGW (which will probably be not worth it, since he is questionable for tonight)

Rashford on the other hand could be good for goals tonight, United is in strike and clean sheet would be great, although Shaw is now almost in every team, so no value there

Martial fitness and injury is of the uttermost concern, all I need is to see how Wout Weghorst fares tonight, since he's been slotted right into the ahead of injured Anthony Martial.

Many of you are aware that managing a fantasy team can be a difficult task, with numerous factors to consider and unexpected events that can occur. I, like many of you, have made errors in the past. One such error I made was benching Marcus Rashford for this round of the fantasy game. I neglected to consider his recent performance and scoring potential. My team lost points as a result of this.

Grin It's possible that Ten Hag will bring Marcus Rashford on as a substitute in the second half of tonight's game. Substitutions can be a key strategy for coaches to influence the game, and bringing on a player of Rashford's caliber in the second half could be a way for Ten Hag to change the game's dynamic.

What are your thoughts?

With Wout Weghorst signing for Man United, I might just have to let go of Anthony Martial, even though I'm not really sure he'd fit into Ten Haag plans, because  Ten Haag is highly interested in frontline fluidity and wouldn't like the idea of an isolated No 9, that's the only impression I have of him liking Anthony Martial as his first choice No 9, and Rashford is very much more important to the team on the free role behind the strikers/flanks than being the point man centre forward.
Wout Weghorst came to United beacuse Ten Haag insisted on him and insisted that he comes immediately and not in the summer transfer window. He already knows the player very well and I am sure he had a reson to bring him. I guess Wout and Martial will share the minutes and that makes both of them not good choices. Haaland effective ownership is so high that if you own Haaland you are actually hoping he will not score. Every point he gets can only cost you rank. Beautiful game FPL. Too make things even worse if you captained Haaland chances are you are again loosing your rank. Only those that used triple captain on Haaland should cheer for him at this point.

We've seen this scenario before; remember when G. Jesus broke the FPL record for most owned player? When he was a must-have and the only player with the highest point total every week? That didn't last long, and I believe that after this DGW, many managers will reconsider their captaincy options, or perhaps a different striker with low ownership who starts every game. Darwin was that perfect guy, he plays every game, he has low ownership in a big club, but he shit us for months.

I'm sure in the next few games, the captaincy will begin to switch once we getting multiple other options and Haaland begins to blank every other game, or Guardiola fixtures is starting to get the better of him as well.

I stopped even guessing what Pep intends to do and now when they are playing not so good I don't even care. They are not nearly as dangerous as in early game weeks. After this GW I will own only Haaland and screw both Pep and City.
Newcastle's defenders are hidden gems; I only own Halaand from City, and that's enough for me. At this point, ODG or Saka are essential players.

that is not good at all
but it due to point system where there is no point cap per player per GW, if that is in place you would not care about Haaland having hat-trick or more goals, because you will know that there is a cap, and he can't score more than 15 points, for example

btw, Sorare is now offering La Liga fantasy, for free, and they are for long planning partnership with EPL, combine these two and maybe FPL will move to Sorare

I still have quite some hope to make something off this game week, because of the second games, Haaland should be make his mark against Tottenham, an hattrick ?
I hope I see 4 goals in his performance  Cheesy

The only downside and ineffectiveness of the number of goals or points Haaland gets to score is that everyone else likely have him as their captain, it will only be slightly beneficial to those who played the triple captain chip.

Tottenham have one of the league's worst defenses, the keeper and defenders can't stop making stupid mistakes, I expected a tight game from them yesterday but what I saw was a complete disaster, I won't be surprised if Halaand breaks his goal drought with a brace or hattrick against them, it's very possible.

I would have to agree with you on Tottenham being a pathetic team defensively and Man City could really take that to their own advantage, and there probably wouldn't be a better way to get back from their defeat at Man United thank to take it out on Conte's men.

I'm actually looking to the lineup Guardiola will setup against Tottenham, if he'll still with the lineup he played against Man Utd, or perhaps, we'll get to witness another Guardiola's experimental XI.

I don't think i've ever seen someone take a pen, slip, touch the ball twice, score and get his goal disallowed since it's a violation. It can only be Mitrovic, right?  Cheesy  Jokes aside, this is his third missed penalty of the year, a real possibility he does not take the next one.

from taking a shity 5th yellow card to having his PK disallowed on his return. Mitrovic cant catch a break

Pereira scored one while he was injured, guess something to monitor going forward. Almost everyone missed on his 15-point haul vs. Palace in gw17, after that, two missed pens, a yellow to miss on his dgw, and one goal. Eventful! Lol

Speaking of yellow cards, those with Kane, Saka, Trippier, and some other popular names who were on 4 yellows...all survived, cards should be cleared after this round

With the numbers of clean sheet Arsenal and Newcastle have had so far this season, I think it's high time I get a couple more from them simply because this was supposed to be their toughest stretch and yet they've kept it clean versus both Newcastle and now Tottenham, If they can keep Manchester United at bay too which is their next fixture, I see no reason why I shouldn't at least one defender from them for remainder of the season, maybe when I choose to play my wildcard, I'll go that route.

I duly wonder the next time City will score up to 3-4 goals again this season, because it might never happen.

would not call it that bad, but I do think that Haaland is far from something really special, and he could end-up below 30 goals when season ends
they can score several against Spurs (although that is not what I think will be), and chemistry will be back to the team

Arsenal is playing great, and that cannot be avoided, so City will probably focus on CL, where they do not have titles, they have many EPL trophies already

how are your teams holding up?
Not really good but I didn't even expect more. Did not play any chip and I made transfers more for future than for this GW alone. Just pissed at myself for not captaining Rashford but if i did I just know he would have ended up with injury in that minute 40 when he was limping.

Liverpool costed me so much yesterday, just needed one goal from them to win several multi tickets. I knew they will have problems and not win but I was sure they will score.

That is exactly how I see my team, and it will remain that way for some time unless there is an injury or a booking concern; I wish Mitrovic had scored that penalty. It would have been a good week, but I knew it was a chip risky week, and I knew Halaand would disappoint us once more. I believe we would eventually learn that City hasn't been creating more chances to score, making it difficult for Halaand.

Haaland by the end of the game week might still end up with more points than Rashford, we both know all it takes him is some relatively good 30 minutes or so to make his mark,

Rashford is already 6 points ahead, and both are likely to score one goal in their next games; I don't think Halaand will outscore Rashford this week. This is Rashford's moment, and we're nearing the end of Halaand's must-score days. How we all moved on from G. Jesus. Lol
