Rumous say James could miss the WC due to injury.

I've already found his replacement (Kilman - Wolverhampton). He's been the Wolves player with the highest return (30 pts) after Podence and the upcoming fixture looks promising as they will avoid teams from the top 10 for at least 4 gameweeks

But, back to Chelsea,, first, it's Kante confirmed to miss the WC, now it could be James, not a good day for Chelsea fans.

Can we say R. Firmino has actually stepped up, his been impressive in his performance across leagues lately and I hope to see more of that in the EPL and consequently, FPL.
Lately Klopp started playing sort of 4-4-2 instead of usual 4-3-3 we all envision when we think about Liverpool. That change immediately lowers the value of Salah/Dias and gives more value to Firminho/Jota/Nunez. I still think I am more likely to go for Nunez than Firminho but I will think about that transfer from GW12 so still one match against City between that to asses the situation.

James injury is a big problem for me and probably most of you. He will miss next 2 games for sure which means I can't field 11 players in GW12. I decided to pull the trigger immediately and kicked him out of my team for -4. Not really a lot of premium defenders delivering at the moment so I went with cheap option and saved some money for GW12. Best options for me are defenders from Palace/Brighton/Wolves, all are cheap, all have good fixtures but none of them has potential to haul big as James/Cancelo/Trent...

There is Foden, Trossard or probably Maddison. I would love to have Saka but I already have 3 Arsenal's players
I took a quick look at your team and in your place my choice for that midfield spot would be Zaha, he is nailed in Crystal Palace attack and he has good fixtures all the way to world cup and free transfers. He is my set and forget player, maybe not as explosive as those that you mentioned but should be far more consistent.

Trossard is very interesting choice since he has the best possible fixture in GW12. Would love to have him then, would probably even captain him.
What will be my supposed picks for sure, Zaha or Trossard although, I'm no big fan of Zaha due to his style of play. His a good player no doubt, have got the stamina and some foot work but often holds the ball too long to make some real impact along with some misplaced passes. Although, of I were to have a Crystal Palace player on my team and the funds is right, it would be Zaha. He's plat time is assured and remains the best Crystal Palace have got to offer.

Please share your plans for navigating GW12
Either free hit or i'll just take a some -4

I'm not too concerned about it tbh. One shitty gameweek won't make the difference in the long run  (:  It's a gw where everyone is gonna take a hit, i expect the average points to be super low. GW12 will be all about getting lucky with the armband, just like that one lucky mofo who triple captained Firmino and he went and  scored 2 goals + three assists in the 9-0 against Bournemouth  Cheesy

I already have that planned out already I have just two Man City players and I'm not selling either of them, I'll only drop them to the bench, because I really don't see an easy fixture that's what it's worth taking them out for just to bring them in the next game week while losing some team value, Kane that I could have opted for is up agaisnt Man Utd, so I don't find it worth it, I'll just settle for two players from bench and I'll be fine with, and I'll just be able to bring in a couple of Arsenal players after the GW12, Free Hit would be absolute waste imo, except you have 6 players combined form City and Arsenal, but you can be rest assured that there is still weeks with even more blank games to be ahead that the free hit will feel more justified towards.

If you have 6 six players from Arsenal and City and you have two transfer, you can also make two transfers out for the players you feel you can go without for the next two weeks and then bring in your bench players, if you've got players like Andreas and Neco Williams on the bench you can sure some valuable points from them too, so you'll only lose points from just one player.

Well, did you guys see the news? Liverpool's Luis Diaz injured until December, Matip and TAA ruled out for 3 three weeks. Diaz owners, what are you gonna do now?

There goes my free transfer for the week I guess. I had 4 other midfielders that I could use but Im totally planning on utilizing 3-5-2 for few weeks ahead and he will be ruled out till December with the possibility of probably not going to be fit afterward as well so there is really no reason to keep him for now I guess. Real question is, who do I replace him with thouh

To be fair more then half of players on most transferred list is from those clubs so either I am crazy, everybody plans on free hitting/wildcarding GW12 or people just don't look even one week in front when planning teams.

Most of those are simply kneejerk transfers, players who did well in the previous week, except for maybe Trossard who's having two decent fixtures in a row.

If tomahawk9 did indeed transfer in Saka this GW, looking at his squad, he's about to have 6 MCI/ARS players for BGW12 and no bench.  Shocked Godspeed!  Cheesy

I would strongly advise against using the FH chip in BGW12, you can get more out of it in the second half of the season, with big blank GWs and some juicy DGWs coming.

you gave me a good idea to use Free Hit for GW12, it is either that or go into solid minus

two slow round for me, and sliding a lot, missing Haaland and keeping Salah is obviously worst possible tactics with this type of point system

will put TAA out from the team as well, there is a line for transfers out

personally I didn't have enough money in the bank to get Foden (the top transfer in this gw), so i went with... boom Saka shakalaka!

Yeah i was planning on bringing back Liverpool players from GW12 onwards but now with these injuries....I don't think so. They have bad season and Diaz was one of the better players so far.

So you wanted to get Foden and then settled on Saka. Please share your plans for navigating GW12, I have 4 players from City/Arsenal combined and my team will be rubbish when that GW comes. I'll bench 3 of them and sell one, Haaland and Martinelli are secured but one from Cancelo/Jesus simply has to go. Would never in my wildest dreams bring another player from those clubs right now.

I guess you missed it, it's been discussed a number of time here, especially with Buwaytress asking a couple of game weeks ago, you can play almost any playeable formation, aside from 3-6-1 which, you could go 3-5-2, 4-5-1, 5-4-1, 3-4-3, it solely depends where you want to prioritize your best players but a lot of people have opted for 3 at the back because of the inconsistenticies from the premium defenders, so that's why Tripier, James and Cancelo are like the defualt template.

Yeah I missed them. I was messing around with my formation yesterday and when I clicked on one of my midfielders on the bench, I noticed that I could switch them with the defenders so I tried and then the formation changed to 3-5-2. I would have gone for 3 defenders right from GW5 I think if I knew this earlier, some defenders are getting sloppy so keeping 3 would be enough imo

there's almost no chance you get more than 3 premium teams playing some guy every game and having majestic clean sheets. I of course put TAA in regardless because he just creates too much to ignore.
You got that right. There is no chance and the rest of us had 4 defenders on the defence line with the goalkeeper as a plus to bring the number to five which means, there are chances of a clean sheet not surfacing every GW. Not to mention, chances are always there that the defenders won't perform good and are always in line of committing which means, a yellow or red card depending on the gravity of the offense.
There is a lot to learn on this game and those with the experience are surely making thepst points from there level of exposure with not just the game but the FPL.  We are are going somewhere with this and the experience is been good, I can tell you that much.

you mean changing formations? heh 😂
Yes, this. I thought we always had to go with the standard 4-4-2 so this means sticking with 3-5-2 by switching 1 defenders into midfielders should probably gives alot more points potentially isnt it as some defenders ended up not getting decent amount of points lately

Yeah, was pretty dumb of me to not even realise you could change formations, and I definitely think 3 at the back is best in almost any season -- there's almost no chance you get more than 3 premium teams playing some guy every game and having majestic clean sheets. I of course put TAA in regardless because he just creates too much to ignore.
Last season it was a totally different story. We all played with 5 defenders and 1 forward. Arnold, Robertson, James and Cancelo were destroying and then you add one more cheap full back for extra points. And there wasn't a forward worth the money.

If Liverpool played like last few seasons, we would have them again.

got the most points in our pool in this gw and all i see are green arrows, plus profitable weekend in the bookies (making bank off Serie A games)

Not a great week for fantasy but banking off this week as well from EPL. Losing alot on esports though but pretty much getting break even with slight profit for today

Took West Ham, Arsenal and Manchester United to win in this combo

I just realized this like 15 minutes ago that we could opt to use 5 midfielders and 3 defenders or any other way around it like 3 strikers or so instead of the regular standard 4-4-2 draft huh. Dang it, I didnt know about this before lol
You know, I saw that a long time ago and have tried navigating around my FPL app but haven't stumbled on the settings and so I just gave up. Now that you've mentioned it, I guess I'll go back and look into the settings although, I'm not sure I would be making a change in my formation at the moment with one of my strikers @Harry Kane having a 75% chance of playing there next game. It might seem like a good chance but, I need him to be cleared on status first.

It was a nice one for Arsenal today, was thinking of getting Saka off my team but, am glad I didn't make that decision as he gave me 15points. Still not winning the rounds huh!

Hope you guys don't have defenders from these 2 clubs, most of them with 1 pointers with couple of 2 pointers or 0 points thrown in the mix Smiley

Does anyone know exactly how the FPL bonus points system works?

Player A:  plays the full 90min and scores a goal, gets zero bonus points.
Player B:  comes in as a sub in the 80min, scores a goal and gets on 3 bonus points  Huh
You have it written all on the FPL page, I will link it in the end. It is fairly complicated and I don't think anybody knows it completely by heart. Goals/assists/clean sheets give out a lot of points, playing time gives some and even stuff like passing is taken into account. Then you have negative points for yellow cards, missed opportunities, errors that lead to dangerous situations....

For instance Cancelo is always a bonus points magnet since he creates a lot of chances and has high percentage of correct passing in every game. When he gets clean sheet it is usually enough for some bonus points as well.
